St Buryan, Lamorna & Paul Parish Council is seeking to refurbish the existing public toilets in St Buryan, Galligan Lane, located behind the book swap / bus shelter. The toilets are the only public toilets in the area and are frequently used by delivery drivers, trades workers, walkers and local residents. The structure of the building is sound and the toilets are broadly in working order, however refurbishments are needed to improve the facilities. The aim is to provide a facility suitable for all users but which will be resistant to vandalism, a problem at this facility. The Parish Council would be pleased to receive quotations for the following scope of work. Toilet pans - Replace existing with vandal-resistant toilet pans. Flush mechanism also to have vandal-proof design and materials. Accessibility - Supply and fit handrails to meet Regulation M accessibility standards. Additional notes • Where costs for options have been requested, the Council will decide on how to proceed based on budgetary constraints • This public toilet facility is prone to vandalism, suitable hard-wearing products are essential • Proposed products should be clearly presented with detailed specifications • It is strongly recommended that a site survey is undertaken prior to quote. Forestry England have a future concession requirement for up to 4 attraction providers at our High Lodge site in the East England Forest District. The attraction providers must deliver family leisure activities which add to our visitor experience onsite whilst encouraging physical activity and increasing customer stay duration. The Swan Brook Wetlands project comprises a range of Natural Flood Management measures to be installed at three National Trust owned and tenanted farm project sites. The overall aim is to increase water retention in the headwaters of the Swan Brook and reduce flood risk downstream. NFM measures proposed are specific to each location and include low earth bunds, in-field scrapes, roughening features, leaky dams and areas of floodplain reconnection. It also includes the construction of access and associated drainage infrastructure. Multiple strategic benefits are expected. Contractors will be chosen based on capacity, capability, relevant experience of delivering NFM interventions, proposed solution and cost. The Local Planning Authority operates within the UK planning system and covers an archipelago with a population of around 2,200 across five inhabited islands. The Council is seeking to commission a suitably qualified and experienced consultancy to undertake a Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA) to inform the evidence base for the Local Plan Review. The Isles of Scilly faces unique flood risk challenges due to its coastal location, low-lying land, and climate change impacts. The SFRA will support policy development around flood risk management, sustainable development, and climate resilience. 2. Objectives • To provide robust evidence to support the Local Plan and future planning decisions in relation to flood risk. • To assess current and future flood risks across the islands, including tidal, surface water, groundwater, and climate change impacts. • To identify flood risk constraints and opportunities for development. • To inform site allocations and policy development in the emerging Local Plan. • To provide spatial outputs (e.g., GIS layers) and recommendations for flood risk mitigation and adaptation. Ivybridge Town Council invites tenders for the provision of Internal Audit Services for a three (3) year period from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029. The contract is for the delivery of an independent internal audit function in accordance with the Accounts and Audit Regulations and the Practitioners' Guide for Smaller Authorities in England (JPAG). The Council is a parish-level local authority with annual expenditure of approximately £1.25 million, employing around 18 staff, and operating a combination of public sector and commercial activities. The appointed contractor will be required to undertake: - Two interim internal audits per financial year (typically October and February), involving risk-based testing of key systems including financial controls, income and expenditure, payroll, VAT, procurement, assets, banking arrangements, and governance. - One year-end internal audit per financial year (to be completed by 31 May), including review of accounting statements, completion of the Internal Audit Report section of the Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR), and provision of an annual audit opinion. The contractor must provide written reports following each audit visit, setting out findings, recommendations and agreed actions. The Internal Auditor must remain independent and must not prepare the Council's accounts or complete Sections 1 or 2 of the AGAR. Introduction Stratton St Margaret Parish Council invites suitably qualified and experienced contractors to submit tenders for the redevelopment and refurbishment of the toilet facilities at Meadowcroft Community Centre. The aim of this project is to modernise the existing facilities, improve accessibility, increase durability and ease of maintenance, and provide a welcoming environment for community centre users. The Council is seeking a contractor capable of delivering high-quality workmanship, effective project management, and minimal disruption to the operation of the community centre. A key requirement of this project is that public toilet provision must remain operational throughout the duration of the works to ensure the community centre can continue operating safely and effectively. Tenderers should clearly set out how they intend to phase the works and maintain toilet access during the project. 2. Background Meadowcroft Community Centre is a well-used community facility serving residents of Stratton St Margaret and surrounding areas. The proposed redevelopment will reconfigure the area into a modern unisex toilet arrangement consisting of: • 4 individual unisex toilet cubicles • 1 accessible disabled toilet • 1 dedicated baby changing area In addition to the toilet redevelopment, the footprint of the nearly existing women's toilet area will be converted into a small dance studio/multi-use activity space incorporating floor-to-ceiling mirrors. The Council has drawings available showing both the existing building layout and the proposed new layout, which will be provided as part of the tender documentation. The successful contractor will be expected to provide all labour, materials, equipment, supervision, and associated works necessary to complete the project.
