Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust intends to undertake preliminary market engagement (PME) in advance of a forthcoming re-procurement exercise for the provision of a portfolio of already-outsourced IT and digital services that will collectively support end‑user technology, infrastructure, operations, cybersecurity, and service management.
Information about the PME process and expected activities can be found below, under the heading “Pre-Market Engagement”.
The current expected scope of service includes provision, management, and continuous improvement of the following service areas:
ITSM Tooling & Service Desk
Provision and management and operation of a full 24×7×365 service desk including telephone, webchat, portal with self‑service capabilities, leveraging AI and automation.
Service Management Functions
End‑to‑end IT, ITIL aligned, service management, including incident, request, change, configuration, and problem management; major incident handling; release and deployment management; knowledge and asset management.
Workplace & End‑User Services
User Experience focussed provision and support of PCs, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices; user experience analytics; build and patch services; field engineering and Tech Bar support; Active Directory management; and evergreen refresh activities.
Infrastructure Services
Management of on‑premises hosting, VMware platforms, monitoring and event management, capacity and availability oversight, patching and backup services, and Azure cloud services.
Networking Services
Provision and maintenance of LAN, WLAN, network monitoring, management, maintenance, incident response, and installation services.
Security Services & Cyber Operations
Security event management, security management planning, vulnerability management, compliance reporting, risk management, cybersecurity programmes, business continuity, service continuity, and disaster recovery support.
Infrastructure & Technology Projects
Agile delivery support, portfolio management, service transition, project coordination, technical resource provision, and overall project management for delivery of infrastructure programmes.
Architectural Support
Road‑mapping, innovation forums, project assurance, and obsolescence management.
Additional Services
ITSM platform provision and management, managed print services (MFDs, scanners, printers and specialist printers).
Depending upon the particular service in question, the services will need to be provided both on-site - across the Trust’s premises and any external data centre locations used by the Trust - and remotely.
NLFT is seeking to procure an Ambient Voice Technology (AVT) solution as part of its digital transformation strategy. The aim is to reduce clinicians’ administrative burden and improve the timeliness and quality of clinical documentation across the Trust.
At this stage, NLFT is undertaking early market engagement to better understand the current capabilities, maturity, integration and delivery models available within the AVT market. Supplier Ambient Voice Technology (AVT) Self Certified Registry for the use of AI-Enabled Ambient Scribing Products in Health and Care Settings
NHS England are seeking to establish a supplier registry for the use of AI-enabled ambient scribing products in health and care settings. Suppliers must hold class 1 Medical Device Accreditation and current DTAC assessment. All corresponding certifications and registrations specified within DTAC must be provided as part of the application process. Evidence of benefit within the NHS care setting proposed is also required. Evidence may be provided in various formats for example, in the form of case studies or reports.
The aim is to create and develop a robust and accurate supplier registry for ambient voice technology ("AVT Registry") with an accompanying resource library that will be shared to better inform buying authorities so that they can ensure compliance with the guidance issued by NHS England. Procurements thereafter will be undertaken by the NHS bodies themselves and in accordance with their own governance requirements. The National Commercial and Procurement Hub will undertake preliminary completion checks against the requirements and standards as specified on the Atamis e-tendering portal. An evidence base of documentation will be collated for onward sharing with NHS Buyers. All collateral must be kept up to date and current. It is the supplier's responsibility to keep the Hub up to date with details of their systems and solutions so that the information shared with NHS Buyers is current and accurate.
The registry operationalises the requirements by offering a transparent, centralised platform where AVT suppliers can self-declare compliance. It is not a procurement mechanism, but a strategic enabler that:
• Lists successful AVT solutions that have submitted evidence of self-certification with NHS standards
• Supports procurement and pilot planning by surfacing supplier capabilities
• Encourages transparency around safety, data handling, and performance
• Enables monitoring and evaluation of real-world use and outcomes
• Facilitates cross-system learning and reduces duplication across ICBs
Solutions may include, but are not limited to:
• Ambient voice capture
• Real-time speech to text transcription
• Generative AI summarisation
• Suggested structured coding
• Intelligent identification - referral
• Intelligent summarisation - referral
• Automated template population - referral
• Intelligent summarisation - patient

Applications are welcomed from Electronic Patient Record (EPR) providers as this will assist with providing options and information around comparison of EPR Modules against off the shelf.
Suppliers will be required to demonstrate:
• Compliance with DTAC and
• MHRA Class 1 Registration and evidence of post market surveillance
• Evidence of proven impact and benefit in the NHS
• Proven experience delivering AVT solutions in healthcare environments
• Ability to integrate with existing NHS digital infrastructure
• Scalability to meet varying levels of demand across different NHS organisations
• Evidence that the product/solution can meet the capabilities as stated in the application pack via video submission.
In addition, suppliers will be required to complete and submit:
• A solution Performance and Monitoring Response document.
• An indicative pricing matrix or price list.
• Information and collateral for onward sharing with NHS Buyers demonstrating the product capabilities and features.

This AVT Registry process aims to communicate to NHS organisations which suppliers have provided the necessary submission evidence, to assist them with their local procurement of AVT solutions.
The expectations are that buying authorities such as GP's, ICB's and Acute Trusts will use the AVT Registry and accompanying resource library as part of the necessary and locally required due diligence governance checks and to inform a suitable and compliant route to market which will vary according to requirements and contract value.
The first iteration of the AVT Registry was published on the 16th January 2026 and is shared with NHS Buyers upon enquiry into the National Commercial and Procurement Hub.
The initial Pre-Market Engagement Notice (UK2) was published along with the application pack on the 29th October 2025.
The AVT Self Certified Registry will remain open for new submissions on an ongoing basis. New applications will be reviewed in the order in which they are received.
Additional and ongoing reviews may be required as guidance and products and functionality develop.

Digital Citizen covers 3 core products, NHS App, NHS.uk and NHS Login as well as support products such as NHS Proxy and support functions including Citizen Experience.
The contract will provide support capability for NHS Proxy and ii) National Digital Channels User Insight capability.
Additional work across other Digital Citizen products may also be required during the life of the contract.
1. The National Proxy Service (NPS)
• Programme is establishing a secure, scalable mechanism to manage proxy relationships for NHS digital services. This will allow parents and carers to carry out health maintenance activities (booking/managing appointments, repeat prescriptions, records access etc) for someone they care for through digital services like NHS App. NPS multiplies the benefits of NHS App many times over.
• Is a service currently in development and initial pilot that will enable proxies and patients to easily request proxy access from their GP through digital channels, support GPs in making informed decisions on granting proxy access, enable proxies to use proxy relationships across systems and settings and increase digital access for all.
2. National Digital Channels (NDC) - User Insight Capability
• The NHS App and broader digital portfolios are a core component of NHS E’s mission to shift the NHS from analogue to digital.
• The NDC User Insights capability was developed in September 2022 as an interim capability to provide transformational insight into who is using the NHS App. This capability gives insight into the users behind the transactions and not just measuring transaction counts.
• The capability has provided us with the ability to understand the demographics of users (location, age, and deprivation status). This is fundamental to establishing whether inequalities exist in terms of access and engagement with the NHS App and to ensure business decision are data driven.
The commencement of procurement and award of any subsequent contract will be subject to budgetary approval.

The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) is looking to procure a Warehouse File Tracking Solution that enhances visibility, accuracy, and operational control across key environments.
The NHSBSA currently has a contract in place for a File Tracking and Scanner Management Information (MI) software solution. This contract began in March 2020 and runs until 30th September 2026. The current solution is used at two NHSBSA sites located at Greenfinch Way (NE15 8NX) and Bridge House (NE1 6SN) and currently supports 42 NHSBSA staff in total, 29 based at Greenfinch Way and 13 based at Bridge House. This is subject to change as per risks detailed below in this notice.
The solution must support NHSBSA’s scanning operations, which process prescriptions, medical exemption applications, and dental claims. These activities are critical to managing confidential records securely and efficiently across multiple sites. The system must enable tracking of files from receipt through scanning, storage, and eventual destruction, while providing performance statistics and management information.
Current activity levels show an average throughput of approximately 19,000 records per month, the solution must have flexibility to allow for scalability without degradation of service performance or system stability.
At present, the current solution holds 345,647 live records and 1,455,999 archived (deleted) records, totaling 1,801,646 records accumulated to date, this data will need to be migrated to the new solution.
The solution must have capability to manage sustained high volume environments, provide clear performance commitments, and support scalable growth throughout the contract term.
