Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH) is seeking to procure a managed service for the provision of a blood transfusion analyser solution with the supply of associated consumables, reagents, training and maintenance services across its hospital sites. The scope of the managed service will be delivered across the John Radcliffe Hospital (Oxford) and Horton General Hospital (Banbury), supporting a 24/7, 365-day blood transfusion laboratory service. The procurement will be awarded as a Managed Service Contract (MSC) and is planned to include, but not be limited to: Supply, installation and commissioning of automated blood transfusion analysers Provision of all reagents, consumables, controls and calibrators Full repair, maintenance and technical support services Integration with existing Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) Staff training, competency support and ongoing technical assistance The solutions aim is to provide a resilient and high-availability service, including redundancy arrangements to ensure continuity of service in the event of equipment failure. Hull University Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH) on behalf of the Humber Health Partnership (HHP) plan to work in partnership with an Independent Sector (IS) Provider to facilitate provision of additional “one-stop” outpatient clinic capacity within the Breast Urgent Suspected Cancer (USC) pathway, to proactively manage capacity to maintain the delivery of the Cancer Faster Diagnostic Standard during periods where there is a demand vs capacity imbalance, and symptomatic breast radiology clinic support.<br/><br/>The “One-Stop Triple Assessment Clinic" is a new-patient outpatient clinic that delivers a triple diagnostic assessment in the form of:<br/>• Clinical assessment<br/>• Mammography and/or ultrasound imaging<br/>• Fine needle aspiration or core biopsy<br/><br/>The IS provider will provide a full team of appropriately qualified and experienced workforce for each Breast USC “one-stop” triple assessment outpatient clinic (1 at Castle Hill Hospital and 1 at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital), namely for each site:<br/>• 1 x Breast surgery clinician<br/>• 1 x Radiology clinician<br/>• 1 x Radiographer<br/>• 1 x Radiology Assistant (RDA)<br/>• 1 x Appropriate Breast Healthcare Assistant (HCA)<br/>• 1 x Registered Nurse (RN) Support<br/>Each clinic will be an all-day 25 patient session, utilising both AM and PM clinics. NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP) All-Wales Laundry Service (AWLS), is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to undertake the replacement of the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and associated software controlling the Continuous Batch Washer (CBW) at Llansamlet Laundry Production Unit, Swansea. The facility processes approximately 35,000 linen items per day, with the CBW playing a critical role in maintaining operational capacity and service continuity. The successful contractor will be required to undertake a full survey and mapping of existing panel I/O and wiring configurations, supply and install a replacement PLC, provide compatible software interfaces, and ensure continued operation of the existing machine and control programmes. The project must also include full integration with associated press PLCs and sorting systems, commissioning of the completed installation, and comprehensive training for on-site personnel. All works must be completed outside normal production hours to ensure no disruption to laundry operations. The Authority requires the complete delivery, installation, commissioning, training, and acceptance of the works by 28 February 2027, with all associated invoicing completed by 31 March 2027. The Welsh Blood Service (WBS) requires an advanced automated haematology analysis system to support blood donor assessment, blood component quality monitoring, research and innovation activities. The proposed solution will be required to provide automated full blood count (FBC) analysis, 5-part white cell differential capability and integrated reticulocyte analysis on the primary analyser. Of particular interest are systems capable of generating the data required to support emerging donor health assessment methodologies, including FlowScore calculation and reticulated haemoglobin analysis for the early detection of iron deficiency in blood donors. The requirement is includes advanced analytical capabilities that support the unique operational needs of a blood establishment. These include fluorescence platelet counting with high accuracy at low platelet concentrations, reticulated platelet measurement, low-level white cell enumeration suitable for blood component quality monitoring, and the ability to perform blood component testing without the need for separate instrumentation. Suppliers should be able to demonstrate how their platforms support routine blood component quality control programmes through dedicated blood bank functionality and provide evidence of successful implementation within blood services, blood centres or comparable blood establishments. WBS is particularly interested in solutions that are supported by robust External Quality Assessment (EQA/EQAS) programmes and can demonstrate meaningful peer group benchmarking through sufficient participant numbers using the same analyser platform and methodology. Suppliers should be able to demonstrate compliance with applicable medical device regulations, support quality and regulatory requirements through a mature quality management system and provide resilient service and maintenance arrangements that minimise downtime and ensure continuity of critical testing services.
