Vehicle Restraint Systems (VRS) Reactive and Maintenance Works
The Authority will be seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor to undertake the inspection, design, maintenance, repair, replacement and installation of Vehicle Restraint Systems (VRS) across the highway network.
The scope includes asset inspections, reactive and planned maintenance, VRS design and installation, traffic management, removal and disposal of redundant assets, stakeholder liaison, asset data management, and the provision of all ancillary works necessary for the safe and compliant delivery of the contract.
The Authority intends to conduct pre-market engagement in early August 2026. Interested parties will have the opportunity to review and comment on the draft scope and pricing schedule to help inform the final procurement documents and ensure they reflect current market capability and best practice.

CCS061 Framework for Alternative Education Provision in Derbyshire
Derbyshire County Council is seeking to establish an open framework of Alternative Provision for Children and Young People (CYP) in Derbyshire who are excluded, at risk of being excluded, disengaged or require alternative educational arrangements to meet their needs.
The Framework will deliver education provision that supports CYPs to prepare them for the next stages of education, learning or adult life (including where relevant improving behaviour and attendance prior to re-integration into school) in line with the four approaches set out below:
(a) Preventative support in mainstream schools to help at risk CYPs to remain in mainstream education.
(b) Time-limited short-term placements to address and meet pupil's needs with the expectation to remain in or return to mainstream schools.
(c) Transitional placements for CYPs who need support prior to moving on to next stages of learning, education, training, or entry into the workforce and/or the next stages of their lives.
(d) Placements for Children who have been permanently excluded (where applicable).
The services to be provided through the Framework have been split into 5 Lots:
• Lot A: Preventative & Early Intervention
• Lot B: Targeted Short-Term Provision
• Lot C: Specialist Long-Term Provision
• Lot D: Primary AP & Transition Support
• Lot E: Vocational & Progression Pathways

Derbyshire County Council are seeking to appoint a single contractor to engage with landowners; maintain the already developed relationships, secure permission for NFM measures to be implemented on their land and design and implement these agreed measures at the appropriate and designated locations.
The contract is expected to commence from November 2026 and be in place for approximately 24 months.
Prospective tenderers should note that this contract may be affected by Local Government Reorganisation (LGR). In accordance with Schedule 8 of the Procurement Act 2023, this contract may be novated to a successor council or otherwise modified to reflect the requirements of any new council arrangements arising from LGR. The exact nature of any modification or novation cannot be determined at this time, but such changes will be managed under both the Procurement Act 2023 and the contractual provisions.

The contract covers the provision of all labour, plant, materials, equipment, supervision and associated services necessary to undertake surface dressing works, including pre-treatment preparation, masking of ironwork, chipping supply and management, application of surface dressing and seal coats, lockchipping, sweeping operations and defect rectification. Works will be undertaken on a variety of highway classifications throughout Derbyshire and must be delivered in accordance with the Specification for Highway Works, NHSS 13 and the RSTA/ADEPT Code of Practice for Surface Dressing.
