******* Market Engagement Event ******* 'Socially Connected Derbyshire' CPH130 Co-Design Workshop 13 November 2025 Derbyshire County Council is hosting a Market Engagement event at the Parkwood Centre, Alfreton, on 13 November, from 9:45 to 11:30am, to support the co-design of the Social Connectedness Service for Derbyshire. Participation or non-participation in the market engagement events will not prevent any provider from participating in any potential procurement process, nor is it intended that any information supplied as part of these discussions will place any provider at an advantage in a potential procurement process. The event is open to all providers who have interest in the delivery of Social Connectedness services. The workshop session will focus on two areas of design: 1. Collaboration • Exploring collaboration approaches: Discuss how providers can work together both locally and across the county once the service is live, ensuring communities receive the best possible support. Examples may include local collaborative approaches to tendering and delivery, as well as establishing a county-wide steering group to promote social connection. • Identifying barriers and enablers: Examine the factors that either hinder or support effective collaboration and consider how the service specification can help enable collaborative approaches. 2. Outcomes & Evaluation: • Defining meaningful outcomes: Identify clear and relevant outcomes for the Social Connection service that will inform the development of the service specification. • Exploring evaluation methods: Discuss inclusive and realistic approaches to measuring impact, ensuring that evaluation reflects diverse community experiences. • Identifying success measures: Determine what success looks like, both for individuals and for communities, and how it can be effectively captured and monitored. The session format The session will begin with an overview providing context and sharing existing insights on the two topics for exploration. This will be followed by facilitated roundtable discussions, after which each table will share their feedback to the group. All discussion outcomes will be collated and summarised and shared with attendees and published on Proactis. The outputs from the co-design workshop will be used to inform the service specification for Socially Connected Derbyshire. What do I need to prepare for the session? Please come prepared to share learning from projects you have previously been involved in, as well as any community insights you have gathered on the topics. There will not be time for individual presentations; however, during the roundtable discussions, we encourage you to share real-life examples. These could include a case study, an example of an outcome measure you currently use, or a report demonstrating progress towards social connection or community cohesion. How to book onto the session If you have already confirmed your attendance from the previous online event, you should have received a calendar invite. If you haven't and would like to attend, please email us at [email protected] and we will send you the invitation.
