First Aid Training Framework

Description

Carmarthenshire County Council seek to establish a framework for the delivery of first aid training courses, including Paediatric Emergency First Aid at Work (one day), First Aid at Work (three day), Emergency First Aid at Work (one day), including where required a range of specialist content such as Anaphylaxis Management, Catastrophic Bleeding Management, and Choking Rescue Techniques. The training is delivered on an 'as required' basis, and Providers should note there may be a need to deliver multiple courses at different venues across the Council on the same day. The Framework Agreement shall be for 3 years with an option to be extended for a further period of up to 12 months. As this will be a framework agreement, the Authority cannot commit to a stated value of expenditure or guarantee a specific number of courses, however past experience suggests there is sufficient demand to run the following number of courses each year: • Paediatric Emergency First Aid courses – approx. 30 per year • Emergency First Aid courses – approx. 12 per year • First Aid at Work courses – approx. 3 per year Training will be provided in Council premises i.e. libraries, schools, care homes etc. however, depending on course or team needs these may change during the course of the Framework Agreement, but will always remain within Council premises.
