ED0361-25 - LAD 1 Completion - Heating & Fabric Upgrades

Description

The properties included in LAD 1 project were generally semi-detached and mid-terrace bungalows, some houses were also included. All properties included are of traditional masonry construction (cavity walls) wither face brick or painted render finish with duo pitch roofs with either a tile or natural/artificial slate roof covering. All the properties were on either electric Economy 7 or solid fuel heating/hot water. The work required varies from property to property generally comprising of the following: • Heating upgrades (ASHP or high-performance storage heaters i.e. Dimplex Quantum). • Solar PV. • External wall insulation e.g. cavity wall insulation (Thermabead) or external wall insulation. • Roof/loft space insulation (generally top up of existing). • Replacement windows/external doors. • Draught proofing. As part of the work, some properties may require: • Re-roofing. • Strengthening of the roof structure prior to installing solar PV. • External decoration including remedial rendering work. As part of this project, we also recommend the following additional work, costs would come from a separate budget: • Upgrading the fire detection/alarm to Grade D Category LD1 standard in accordance with BS 5839-6. • Installation of Environmental sensors (AICO Homelink + hub) to monitor for damp & mould, support Disrepair Claim responses.
