Replace 19.429km of 132kV pressurised oil filled cables with 132kV non-pressurised XLPE solid cables Replace 19.429km of underground pilot wire with fibre optic cables Supply and install all ducting for the 132kV non-pressurised XLPE solid cables and fibre optic cables Complete all civils work (excavation, backfilling and reinstatement) associated with the installation Complete a single lane width reinstatement the length of the cable route (section approx. 1.8km) on the East Lancs road (A580) following the cable installation (Section 58 requirement) Scope of this work is for the cable civils only however we are optioning the cable installation costs. Replace existing outdoor sealing end structures at Bootle, Fazakerley and Gillmoss grid substations The existing modern non-pressurised XLPE solid cable sections along the two circuits including the outdoor sealing ends structures will be retained and reused. Drain, cut and cap of redundant oil filled cables and drain all associated oil tanks
