Corserv on behalf of Cormac Solutions Ltd are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractor for replacement of the play equipment and repair to surfacing at Saltmill Play Park. The provided document in the specification section shows photos of the existing setup, and all equipment needs to be replaced with similar units geared towards ages 3-10. Due to the environment, the equipment will need to be hard wearing/saline resistant with an ideal lifespan of 15+ years. Outline of required units below: • 2-seat flat swing • 2-seat cradle swing • Medium multi-play unit • Trim trail with balance beam, rope bridge and traverse elements The roundabout should not need to be replaced for this project. Our client has assessed the existing surface condition as fair, with some shrinkage around the edges. Their preferred option is to retain the existing and overlay with wetpour to fill the gap at the edges. A site visit will be required to determine whether this option is valid, but the provided BoQ assumes the overlay is possible. The access to site is paved from the side of the road, and vehicle access should be possible for smaller works. However the site survey will need to factor in access for larger delivery or construction vehicles, and allowances made in quotation to suit. Photo provided of the park complex, with entrance and relevant area marked. The intention is to award the contract to the most economically advantageous tenderer based on 100% price.
