On 09 March 2023 a Written Ministerial Statement was issued confirming that the A27 Arundel bypass scheme had been deferred to the next Roads Investment Period (RIS3), which covers 2025 to 2030. This service is required to support National Highways during the deferral period and with the preferred route remaining in place.
