What it was

Bravo Solution was an electronic procurement platform widely adopted across the UK public sector for managing competitive tendering processes. The system provided end-to-end procurement functionality, including tender publication, supplier registration, bid submission, and contract award processes. Many councils, NHS trusts, and central government departments used Bravo Solution as their primary e-tendering portal.

Key features

The platform offered comprehensive procurement management tools including automated workflow processes, document management, supplier databases, and reporting capabilities. It supported various procurement procedures from simple quotations to complex OJEU tenders, with built-in compliance features to ensure adherence to public procurement regulations.

Current status

Bravo Solution underwent several ownership changes and rebrandings. The company was acquired by Jaggaer (formerly SciQuest) in 2018, and existing Bravo Solution implementations have been migrated or integrated into Jaggaer's procurement platform. Many UK public sector organisations that previously used Bravo Solution have either transitioned to Jaggaer or moved to alternative e-procurement platforms.

Legacy impact

Despite no longer operating as an independent platform, Bravo Solution played a significant role in digitising UK public sector procurement processes during the 2000s and 2010s. Its widespread adoption helped standardise electronic tendering practices across multiple public sector organisations and established many of the workflow patterns still used in modern e-procurement systems.
