Paste each response section, set the buyer's word limit, see which sections are over before you submit. UK public sector evaluators routinely zero over-limit answers.
Paste the ITT, BidWriter detects each section's word limit and drafts the response to that target — no over-limit cuts, no padding. Free plan covers 3 bids/month.
UK public sector tender word limits typically range from 500-1500 words per question. 1000 words is the most common single-question limit. CCS framework call-offs often use 500-word limits. NHS and local authority tenders sometimes allow 1500-2000 words for complex questions. The limit is per-question, not for the whole response.
Most UK public sector evaluators mark over-limit responses down or score them zero. Some specify 'anything after word N is ignored' — you lose marks because the marker never sees the strongest part of your argument. Stay under the limit; lead with your strongest point in the first 200 words.
Usually no — appendices, org charts, case studies and CVs are typically excluded from the per-question word count. The ITT should specify; if it doesn't, raise a clarification well before the deadline.
