Leeds City Council (LCC) and The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (CBMDC) requirements for the collection, transport and recycling of scrap metal and lead acid batteries (LABs) arising at Participating Authority facilities. The South Yorkshire People's Network (SYPN) is the new integrated transport brand for the region, bringing together bus, tram, rail and active travel under a single vision: a connected, people-focused network that serves every community across South Yorkshire. As public transport comes back under greater public control and significant investment is made in infrastructure, vehicles and customer experience, we have an opportunity to rethink one of the most visible elements of the transport system: the stops, shelters and interchanges for buses and trams. This is a single stage competitive procedure for initial concept design award, with options to extend the contracts through the following stages: Stage 1: Concept Design, Stage 2: Detailed Design, Testing and Commissioning Stage 3: Manufacture, Install and Supply for key locations Stage 4: Ongoing supply and install across the network SYMCA are open for suppliers to approach this commission as a consortium or joint venture project team, to ensure that the appropriate design ambition is achieved. The South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) is seeking to procure two (2) new Road-Rail Vehicles (RRVs) for use on the South Yorkshire Supertram network. Each vehicle shall be configured as a complete OHLE maintenance vehicle, including the required working/access platform and associated mission equipment, together with full integration of the Authority-supplied OHLE pantograph, as defined in the Technical Specification. The vehicles will be used primarily to support the inspection, maintenance and repair of the Supertram Overhead Line Equipment (OHLE), including planned maintenance and emergency response activities. The vehicles shall be suitable for operation on both road and rail and shall be compatible with the relevant track, infrastructure and operating conditions across the Supertram network. The Authority anticipates that the contract will start on 01/03/2026 and will run for a period of 6 years and 6 months comprising of an estimated 18 months programme for design, manufacture, delivery, testing and final acceptance, following by 5 years warranty, and optional maintenance term. The Authority reserves the right to extend the warranty contract for a further 1 x 24 months subject to satisfactory performance.

Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council (BMBC) wishes to establish a transport DPS for the provision of passenger transport for children and adults. BMBC has a statutory duty to provide home to school travel arrangements for eligible children to access their education for both SEN and non-SEN children as outlined in the Home to School/college Travel Assistance Policy. The requirement is for a regular home to school transport service during school term time both in the Borough of Barnsley and out of the Borough, which include daily, weekly, fortnightly, or termly single or return journeys In addition, the Council also provides transport to and from day centres for vulnerable adults who are covered under the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970 and 1986. The Providers on this DPS will be required to provide a range of vehicles to deliver the services, from cars to minibuses. There will be a requirement for a number of vehicles to be fitted with appropriate equipment to enable passengers to access/egress the vehicle safely and travel safely and comfortably. The procurement is being undertaken as an Above Threshold Procurement under the PCR 2015 using a Dynamic Purchasing System. York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority (YNYCA) is seeking consultancy support to develop a series of sub-strategy documents to sit as a series of daughter strategies underneath the Mayor’s Local Transport Plan (MLTP). We are engaging the market to establish the level of resource and budget that is likely to be required to undertake this piece of work.

The purpose of this market engagement is to define the initial scope and procurement requirements for a Specialist Highway Surfacing and Pavement Preservation Framework to support the delivery of the City of Doncaster Council's Highway Asset Management Strategy. The framework will enable the Council to engage specialist contractors for preventative maintenance, carriageway preservation, network renewal and surface treatment activities. The framework will provide access to specialist techniques that extend pavement life, improve network condition, reduce whole-life costs, minimise carbon emissions, and support the Council's risk-based asset management approach.

The principal purpose of this preliminary market engagement is to understand how integrated ticketing could be maintained and developed under a future contract for supported local bus services. The Authority wishes to explore the practical arrangements required to enable passengers to use appropriate tickets across services operated by different providers. This may include ticket acceptance, revenue apportionment, settlement arrangements, ticketing technology, third-party dependencies, costs, mobilisation timescales and any interim arrangements required from contract commencement. Responses will help the Authority develop integrated-ticketing requirements that are proportionate, deliverable and capable of supporting a straightforward passenger experience. The engagement will also inform the Authority’s procurement strategy and future service specification but will not commit the Authority to undertaking a procurement exercise or adopting a particular solution.

Wakefield Council is preparing to establish an Open Framework for Surface Dressing of highways and footpaths. The Services will consist of the provision of labour, plant, materials and traffic management to carry out Surface Dressing of Footways and Carriageways within the administrative areas of the members of the Yorkshire Highway Alliance plus any other Local Authority (as defined in the Local Government Act 1972) within the Yorkshire and Humber Region and wholly owned and controlled subsidiary trading companies.

Delivery of York's home to school transport service for multiple routes to our maintained schools. We expect these to be delivered via buses of varying sizes and taxis. Our previous contract was split into 7 Lots with an approximate value of £5.6million total (excl VAT). Whilst we expect the value to remain similar but in line with cost increases, we are considering a restructure of the Lots. York is also considering including some of the shared routes for our Adult Social Care needs. This may increase the total value of the procurement by a further £400,000 excl VAT.
