The University of Aberdeen is undertaking a project to select, procure and implement a ranked framework for Asbestos Removal and Analytical works that best meet the needs of the University and its customers. Lot 1 will be for an Asbestos Removal Contractor with Lot 2 being for Asbestos Analyst services. Tenderers will be able to bid for both lots but those appointed to the framework of one lot cannot be considered for the other lot due to the nature of the need for division of responsibility.

NHS Lanarkshire wish to put in place a contract for the provision of managed Winter Maintenance Services at University Wishaw Hospital. Services required via the managed service contract will include gritting, salting and snow clearance, based on local weather monitoring and forecasting. The University of Edinburgh’s Accommodation, Catering and Events (ACE) is seeking contractors for cleaning services to a range of student accommodation. This will include full lease end cleans, with the main periods of peak being May through to September and also a flexible resource for weekly cleans, which are unable to be covered in house. There is also a requirement to support commercial cleaning, including hotels and quick turnaround cleans following overnight stays. The nature of the requirement can lead to extreme periods of peak and a need for flexibility in the pool of resources available across all areas. To support this and attract sufficient competition for all requirements, the University is proposing a lotted framework. Proposed lots are; Lot 1: Lease End Cleaning (Including Specialist Cleaning) – Covers all planned and reactive lease end cleans and allows for specialist cleaning (Including carpet and Upholstery) Maximum 8 suppliers . Lot 1 will require the cleaning of approximately 5817 rooms from June to September and 4698 in September only. Lot 2: Commercial Cleaning – Covers all commercial cleaning. Cleaning on this lot includes hotels and therefore has different requirements to Lots 1 and 3, including the standard. Maximum 3 suppliers. The number of rooms to be cleaned will depend on bookings received. Lot 3: DOMUS Cleaning*: This is a separate lot due to the 24-hour turnaround requirement and the need to service multiple properties across the city within the same day. Properties are typically tenement-style flats (1–7 bedrooms) with a kitchen and shared bathroom(s). Access may involve multiple stair flights, with flats located from ground to fourth floor, and parking is often limited.2 suppliers. Lot 3 will require 885 rooms to be cleaned between May and September (based on 65% occupancy level)

The provision of learning and childcare services.

The University of Edinburgh seeks to acquire a Non-Torque Loading System with a minimum power rating of 20 kW and preferably up to 50 kW or above. The system should be capable of applying non-torque loads to the shaft/rotor of the motor/generator under test of at least 50 kN in at least 2-axes, but preferably 3-axes. It should also have a speed range of at least 20-100 rpm, but preferably up to 10-1000 rpm. Preference is for electrically actuated non-torque loading. Our researchers design, develop and test small electrical machines (at full scale), as well as downscaled prototypes of electrical machines for large offshore renewable energy applications.

Roofing Maintenance and repairs as required, the successful Contractor shall provide a suitably skilled, experienced and competent workforce to safely deliver reactive roofing maintenance and repair works across the University of Dundee Estates & Campus Services portfolio. Scotland has the highest drug and alcohol related death rates in the UK and Europe. People with substance use issues (PWSUI) often need help outside normal 'office' hours or from a distance from offices, and support is not uniformly available throughout Scotland. The support landscape in Scotland is fragmented, hard to navigate, and varies by locality. When support isn’t readily available (or isn’t trusted), people and their families and friends often default to emergency services or remain unsupported. As a result, those who use substances often experience avoidable crisis escalation, or remain in extremely difficult situations, and support services miss opportunities for early, harm-reducing interventions. The Preventing Harm, Promoting Recovery: Scotland’s Alcohol & Drugs Strategic Plan 2026 – 2035 specifically addresses the crucial need to tackle early intervention and widen an individual’s ‘circle of support’. This ‘circle of support’ is at the heart of this Challenge, and a successful solution would enable people to access the right support sooner, regardless of locality. It should harness the power of existing trusted services, family and community to reduce avoidable demand on emergency and NHS services – and if possible, create a ‘feedback loop’ of learning, intelligence and insight so that the overall issue can be tackled in a continually improving manner.

Establish a DPS (Dynamic Purchasing system) for the provision of school, social care and other transport by Taxi/Private Hire Car (PHC)– 8 or less passenger seats. This is to meet the education and social care needs of children and vulnerable adults as well as other passenger or goods transport requirements. This Service will also incorporate Demand Responsive Transport (DRT). Most of the transport will be within Stirling Council area, but there will also be cross-boundary requirements ranging beyond the Council area. Note: This second contract notice is for new companies wishing to apply or companies who would like to re-apply that may not have been added to the DPS on the first round.

East Lothian Council ("ELC") are responsible for the procurement of service transport contracts to meet the education and social care needs as well as other passenger requirements. Most of the transport will be within East Lothian area. ELC is setting up a Dynamic Purchasing System ("DPS") to procure these contracts. A DPS is completely electronic system and is similar to a framework agreement but a key difference is that, unlike a framework agreement, suppliers can join a DPS at any time. Contracts operated through this DPS can generally be undertaken by taxis, private hire cars, minibuses and buses, including the requirement for those of these vehicles to be capable of carrying passengers in wheelchairs. The purpose of this Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to inform the supply market of the intention of the City of Edinburgh Council (the "Council") to establish a new Learning and Development Framework Agreement. The Council's aim is to appoint a number of Learning Providers to deliver various learning requirements, including: - First Aid; - Epilepsy Awareness and Emergency Medication Administration (Buccal/oromuscular Midazolam), Anaphylaxis Awareness and Adrenaline Auto-Injector Administration; - Manual Handling; - Promoting Positive Engagement and Building Relationships; - Mental Health Awareness and Mental Health First Aid; - National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS); - Driver Learning; - The New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA Street Works); - Strategic Leadership Development; - Personal Safety; and - Principles of Care. It is expected that the new Framework shall operate from April 2027 for a period of two years, with the option to extend for up to a further two 12-month periods, undertaken at the sole discretion of the Council.
