The Council is seeking suitably experienced and competent contractors to provide grounds maintenance services in accordance with the Council's specification.
The principal services required are:
• Grass cutting and trimming of urban grass verges;
• Trimming and pruning of hedges, verges, trees and shrubs;
• Rights of way clearance;
• Cemetery maintenance;
• May Balfour Gardens maintenance; and
• Bin clearance.
Additional services may occasionally be required, including:
• Trimming and pruning of hedges, verges, trees and shrubs not forming part of the regular scheme; and
• Siding out of overgrown footways or other Rights of Way not forming part of the regular scheme.
New Grounds Maintenance Contract - Old Basing & Lychpit Parish Council
Grounds Maintenance Contractor based within 10 mile radius of Basingstoke required by Old Basing & Lychpit Parish Council to manage the upkeep of the Parish Council's land consisting of two children's play areas and adult exercise equipment, sports and general recreation fields, Cemetery & Garden of Remembrance, Allotments, car parks and National Heritage site in addition to sports pitches including Archery, Bowls, Cricket and Football. The contractor must provide evidence of having prior experience and specialist knowledge of maintenance of a heritage site, bowling greens and cricket pitches and have a proven track record of a high level of customer satisfaction. The contractor must also demonstrate the ability to be responsive and flexible in its approach to tasks and particularly in dealing with those clubs that use the facilities.
Works as set out in the Maintenance Schedule to be provided on application will include grass and hedge cutting, maintenance of grass borders, upkeep of the Cemetery, Garden of Remembrance and Allotments and seasonal maintenance and treatment of the sports pitches.
Attendance on site for certain sports and other events, which will include weekends, is also required.
The contract will be for an initial 5 year period and, subject to satisfactory results, will include an option to extend for a further 2 years.
