With over 273,000 people in Scotland living with Stage 3-5 Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), including 2,000 receiving dialysis treatment, and demand expected to increase fivefold over the next decade, improvements to dialysis transport across NHS Scotland are urgently needed. Dialysis journeys account for more than 40% of all non-emergency patient transport activity, costing 9.1 million GBP annually. Yet current arrangements can be inconsistent, creating avoidable pressures for patients, providers and NHS services. NHS Scotland is seeking innovative, patient-centred and sustainable solutions that improve reliability, efficiency and patient outcomes, while reducing administrative burden and delivering better value for money.

East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EMAS) intends to establish a Dynamic Market for the provision of Taxi Support Services to East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust. Whilst EMAS undertakes the vast majority of journeys via in-house team, there is a need for extra demand in the system to cover NEPTS journeys for the Trust. The intention is to setup a Dynamic Market with separate lots, for taxi providers providing necessary service within that area. This will include transporting of patients to and from hospital for routine appointments, short term adhoc journeys, and other journeys may be required. The Dynamic Market is anticipated to begin from 01 April 2026 and run for 4 years until 31 March 2030, with suppliers being awarded into the following Lot Structure - Lot 1 covers NEPTS LINCOLNSHIRE Region (area to which East Midlands Ambulance Service currently provides this services). - Lot 2 covering NEPTS NORTHAMPTIONSHIRE region - Lot 3 covering NEPTS DERBYSHIRE region The establishment of the Dynamic Market is Stage 1 of the process, which will create the supplier list within each lot. Stage 2 will see the Trust carry out a tender via the Competitive Flexible Procedure, against the suppliers in that lot at the time. This tender will be evaluated based on quality/technical, commercials and Social Value. ***THIS NOTICE IS FOR A MARKET ENGAGEMENT EVENT ONLY***<br/><br/>NHS Birmingham & Solihull ICB and NHS Black Country ICB are seeking to carry out a market engagement event with those providers with suitable knowledge and experience to provide a Non-Emergency patient transport service for patients in Birmingham, Solihull and the Black Country.<br/><br/>The service will cover a wide range of healthcare premises across Birmingham, Solihull and the Black Country, with a requirement to carry out cross-place and out of area transport requests as appropriate. It is intended that this service will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year with the successful provider working closely with acute, mental health and community healthcare settings to ensure capacity aligns with patient attendance patterns. The service will provide safe, effective and timely transport for eligible patients, including planned transport, unplanned transport and enhanced-priority journeys for patients attending time critical treatment. This notice is intended to inform the market of the ICB's future procurement intentions and invite potential providers to participate in a market engagement event. Feedback will help the ICB finalise the service model, specification, financial arrangements and procurement approach.

NHS North East North Cumbria Integrated Care Board is undertaking market engagement in relation to the future provision of a Mental Health Secure Patient Transport Service across the North East and North Cumbria Region. NENC ICB is hosting an information session for providers interested in the future delivery of Mental Health Secure Patient Transport Services across the North East and North Cumbria at 3:00pm on Monday 07 September. The session will provide an overview of a number of potential service delivery models currently being explored and explain how local framework arrangements could potentially be applied to support service delivery across the region. Following the market engagement session, NENC ICB will issue a Request for Information (RFI) on Tuesday 08 September 2026.
