The successful Supplier will be required to provide Cleaning Services for Queensbridge School.
Contract Value: £158k, excluding Vat and April NLW
Start Date: January 2027
At Queensbridge School, we pride ourselves on a vibrant community enriched by diverse partnerships and a strong commitment to serving others. Our performing arts partnerships nurture creativity, whilst our STEM initiatives prepare students for future technological challenges. Additionally, our connections with local businesses provide real-world experiences and mentoring opportunities helping students be better informed to make informed choices about their post 16 progression.
Our dedication to the local community is exemplified through numerous volunteering projects, including participation in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, which encourages personal development and community service. Fundraising is a cornerstone of our community spirit, with our students actively raising money for charities including Children In Need and Comic Relief.
We cherish our alumni and their contributions to our legacy. We warmly invite the Queensbridge family, friends and alumni to stay connected and share their journeys with us. Your stories and support continue to inspire our current students and strengthen our community bonds.
Join us in celebrating the achievements and spirit of Queensbridge School, where every member is valued and together we make a difference enriching the lives of our community.
Queensbridge is a dynamic and responsive place, alert to the needs of all its students who come from so many different backgrounds and bring their varied experiences, enriching the school on a daily basis. But, in all this liveliness and energy the school brings stability and continuity.
Governors are committed to supporting the provision of a thriving and cohesive learning community which serves the learning needs of pupils and staff, helping and encouraging each and every individual to reach their aspirations and potential. Queensbridge is both safety net and trampoline, catching and nurturing the vulnerable, launching everyone into what we hope is their positive future with the skills to navigate this complex world.
As Governors we work with the school to uphold the core values of kindness, respect for each other and achievement. We meet as a full governing body each term to celebrate, question and to ensure that the strategic vision for the school is being upheld. Each governor also explores different aspects of school life as a link governor attached to a particular department or area, according to experience or inclination.
It is a serious role, as it should be – we are dealing with the future of young people - but it is also exciting, thought provoking, companionable and very supportive."

The contract will be a fixed price in nature, with the Contractor invoicing the Client for one-twelfth of the annual cost monthly.
Whilst the monthly charge will represent one-twelfth of the contract cost, a reconciliation will take place monthly to reconcile the actual hours worked within the contract. If the hours worked are less than those budgeted a credit will be required by the schools. This credit will be calculated by dividing the annual contract cost (fixed cost) by the number of annual input hours to arrive at a contractual cost per hour, this will then be multiplied by the number of hours due to arrive at the fiscal credit.
The Trust requires that the tendered number of hours are always worked, and the successful contractor is expected to have a system in place to cover for both planned and unplanned leave.

Fort Royal Community Primary School ~ Cleaning Tender
The successful Supplier will be required to provide cleaning services for Fort Royal Community Primary School.
The annual contract value is approximately £130,000 and the initial contract term will be three years, commencing 1 April 2027 and concluding 31 March 2030. The contract will operate on a guaranteed performance basis, offering a fixed annual subsidy. There will be an option to extend for a further term of one plus one years by mutual agreement.
The school is located in Central Worcester and is a Maintained Primary special needs school with 208 pupils on roll and approximately 170 staff employed.
They are a dedicated and enthusiastic team who are committed to providing the best possible education and care for the pupils and developing independence and social awareness to prepare them for productive and successful lives. There are 25 classes and fantastic facilities, including a hydrotherapy pool, specialist sensory areas and extensive outdoor learning environments both within the school grounds and attached to individual classes. The school runs in term time, but some support staff work all year round.
Currently, the school is cleaned in the mornings prior to opening, with cleaning commencing from 6:00am during term time and on TED days. In addition, the school benefits from approximately four weeks of deep cleaning during holiday periods. Due to the morning cleaning schedule, there is a requirement for some ad hoc cleaning at the start of holiday periods (e.g. bin clearance), along with limited cleans a few times per week in key areas during the main school holidays (Easter, Summer, and Christmas).
While the school is open to reviewing cleaning times, if the morning schedule is retained, they would like these ad hoc requirements to be formally incorporated into the contract. The school also hosts a holiday club during certain school holidays, which is currently supported through ad hoc cleaning arrangements. While there are no lettings at present, the school would like flexibility within the contract to accommodate this should it change in the future.
