The successful Supplier will be required to provide catering services across all eight of the (SAET) Severn Academies Educational Trust schools as well as two schools from The Rivers CofE Academy Trust who receive a delivered service from schools within SAET. This takes the total number of schools to ten (10) within this catering tender.
The annual contract value is approximately £966,600 and the initial contract term will be three years, commencing 1 January 2027 and concluding 31 December 2029. The contract will operate on a guaranteed performance basis, offering a fixed annual return and/or subsidy. There will be an option to extend for a further term of three years by mutual agreement.
The combined pupil population is approximately 3,664, with all schools located within a 10-mile radius of Kidderminster, providing a compact and operationally efficient geographical footprint.
Severn Academies Educational Trust (SAET), is a sponsoring multi academy trust based in the Wyre Forest region of Worcestershire. The trust was formed in 2016 and currently consists of two high schools and six primary schools. The trust provides high quality educational experiences and care for just over 3,000 pupils aged 2-18.
The schools maintain their own identity and are led by highly effective Headteachers who are supported by their local governing bodies. SAET schools work closely together to share resources, people and innovative practice. Being part of SAET provides a strong and supportive base from which schools can provide children and young people with high quality teaching, and the skills and opportunities they need to be the best they can be.

Waverley Education Foundation and Al-Furqan Primary School ~ Catering Tender
The successful Supplier will be required to provide Catering services for Waverley Education Foundation and Al-Furqan Primary School.
Waverley School is larger than the average-sized school. It is an all through school for pupils aged 4-19 currently there are circa 1,800 pupils on role and within Waverley Studio College a further 230 pupils. From September 2026 there will be an intake of Nursery pupils numbering about 40.
Waverley School moved into a brand-new purpose-built facility in 2013 and has continued to thrive. It is the Executive Principal’s and the Trustee’s aim to continue to build on this and wish to employ a suitably skilled, flexible and experienced catering contractor who will recognise the changes that have taken place over the past few years, providing advice, innovation and expertise. This will be a major benefit to the school and will contribute significantly towards the Client’s ongoing objectives.
Al-Furqan Primary School currently has approximately 630 pupils on roll. Typically, Al-Furqan Primary School will be open for 185 trading days per annum when Eid holidays and celebrations are considered. Please note the cost of catering is based on t185 days as detailed below.
The schools firmly believe that with improved choice and quality there is a real opportunity to increase this level of uptake. Parents are committed to taking up the service as long as the quality improves, and it is seen as a Value for Money offer.
The contract covers the scope for the provision of all catering services, which also includes all hospitality and free issue requirements.
The contract being offered will commence on 1st April 2027 for 3 years, with the potential to extend for up to a further 3 years and will be on a guaranteed performance basis.
The tender project is seeking to appoint a Contractor whose initiative and innovation will be welcomed for the provision of all catering services within the Foundation and at Al-Furqan Primary School (Please note separate contractors might be chosen). The high-quality service levels proposed, should maintain excellent standards throughout, resulting in a new food service offer with consistent high standards of food operations across both Schools.
Regular customer and parental engagement (using digital platforms and social media) will be required to ensure this is the case moving into the contract term.

Catering Contract Three Spires Trust (Wolverhampton)
The Trust is seeking a single supplier to provide catering to three of its schools in Wolverhampton. Two secondary schools and one primary school.
The Trust reserves the right to add other schools currently in the Trust and for any new schools joining the Trust to the contract should it be required.

Dyson Perrins CofE Academy is a co-educational secondary school in Malvern, Worcestershire. The School caters for approx. 600 students, aged between 11 and 16, from across Malvern, surrounding villages and neighbouring towns.
The School is looking to source a catering services provider from April 2027 for a new 3-year contract (plus possible 2 year extension on a +1year, +1year basis). The successful supplier is to provide a healthy, high quality and value for money catering service to all students and staff, with hospitality as required.
The services are currently outsourced and therefore TUPE will apply.
