The planned introduction of longer train services to the Airport in response to future demand growth will mean that double stacking arrangements of trains as currently used will no longer be viable. Through the project's Delivery Steering Group, Northern and TransPennine Express have carried out analysis which has identified that additional platform capacity is needed at the airport in order to realise the full benefit of longer train services serving the airport. The scheme is part of a package of proposed measures in the Manchester area that are being designed/planned to boost capacity and resilience, emanating from the Cross Manchester Capacity and Reliability Improvement Study. Improving the operation of train services in the centre of Manchester and providing further capacity at Manchester Airport station, aligns with the strategic aims of Network Rail, TfGM, TfN and the wider industry. This project in in Tranche 1 of the Manchester and North West Transformation Programme (MNTP): A remodelling of the station at Manchester Airport, specifically a platform addition or extension of multiple platforms, or provision of a new turnback facility, will be essential to accommodate the planned implementation of longer rolling stock services. The redevelopment of these platforms will enable permissive working of two 6x24m (144m) trains, in two of the four platforms at the Airport Station. This will allow for the unaltered retention of all existing TOC services both originating and terminating at the Airport Station under 'double-stacking' conditions. The scope areas for this package are as follows: - Track renewals and modifications. - Plain line track installation. - S&C installation and modifications (where applicable). - Ballast excavation, placement and regulation. - Stressing, welding and rail adjustments. - Tamping and dynamic track stabilisation. - Possession planning and delivery support. - Associated rail plant and labour resources. - Testing, handback and assurance documentation.

Cumberland Council is procuring a contract for Supported Bus Services for suitably qualified bus operators to run routes on behalf of Cumberland Council. The council proposes to enter into the contract for an initial term of 12 months with the successful tenderer. There are 2 optional extension periods available of 12 months each. The Thrive Health and Wellbeing Centre will provide a new Sports Rehabilitation Clinic & Sports Rehabilitation Gymnasium on the first floor of the building. This is a student-led clinic where staff supervise students in their learning; this is akin to what you would see in teaching hospitals nationwide and is also commonplace in professional sports. Enterprise Cheshire and Warrington (ECW), working alongside the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) and the North West Net Zero Hub (NWNZH) is seeking to appoint an individual consultant or small group of consultants to oversee the implementation of the Clean Energy Skills Regional Action Plan (CESRAP), and in partnership with relevant neighbouring regions. The CESRAP brings together evidence from extensive stakeholder consultation, employer engagement, provider input, and regional modelling to identify where demand for clean energy skills is growing most quickly and where the provision is already strong. It identifies an urgent need to intervene in the skills ecosystem so that local people, employers, and their supply chains can develop the skills needed to benefit from the transition to clean energy to meet a significant increase in demand in 2030 and beyond. It sets out recommendations for local leaders and policymakers, proposals for a near-term programme of skills interventions, and a framework for long-term collaboration to enable joined-up local delivery of the Government's Clean Energy Jobs Plan1. Given the dynamic nature of the events industry, the supplier will be expected to respond to orders as required, potentially with a last minute or same day delivery, including Saturday and Sunday orders. Average annual requirements for products are detailed in the ITT, and these requirements will need to be matched by the supplier. Due to event peaks and troughs within the business, orders of higher numbers must be available at certain times. If a product is not available in the quantities required, the supplier must notify Manchester Central as early as possible and provide alternative products of the same calibre. Contract partners will be required to have periodic contract review meetings with the Company's Executive Chef. The frequency of such contract review meetings will be determined by Manchester Central and may vary from time to time. The meetings will discuss the performance of previous months' supply, the supply required over the next few months, highlighting any key large events coming up, and any positive / negative feedback with regards to product quality, account management, ordering and delivery.
