Cumberland Council is in the process of procuring supported bus services across the Cumberland area. The intention is to tender for these services in early Summer 2026, for the bus services to be ready for launch in November 2026. As part of the commissioning process, the Council would like to invite all interested bus operators to attend a pre-market engagement session. At this session we will share an outline of commissioning plans and talk through the anticipated tender process and timeline. The Council would like all bus operators who might be interested in delivering this contract either now or in the future to join us. Providers should note that procurement plans are subject to formal approval and cannot be guaranteed until a decision to procure has been made. Milton Keynes City Council’s Leisure and Sports Partnership Department delivers an inclusive school swimming programme for primary school pupils in Years 3 to 6, enabling schools to meet their statutory curriculum requirements for swimming and water safety education. The programme operates as a comprehensive, centrally coordinated service. All swimming pools, appropriately qualified instructors, and transport arrangements are organised by the School Swimming Programme Coordinator, providing schools with a single point of contact and streamlined delivery model. A key component of the service is the provision of reliable and safe transport. Transport providers are required to collect pupils and accompanying school staff from their respective schools, convey them to the designated swimming facility, and return them to school following the completion of each session. All participating schools and swimming pools are located within the Milton Keynes area.

The National Gallery is seeking to appoint a Highways & Transport Consultant with the capability, capacity and relevant experience to support the delivery of a new development at the Gallery, located on Trafalgar Square in central London. The Project will involve the development of a new building integrated with the existing National Gallery estate, together with proposals affecting the public highway, movement, servicing, access, public realm and statutory highway processes within a highly constrained and sensitive urban, cultural and heritage context. The Project is expected to require coordinated highways engineering and transport planning input in relation to matters including, without limitation, highway status and boundary interfaces, servicing and operational access, parking and cycle provision, pedestrianisation or access restriction, Section 278 works, Traffic Management Orders, stopping-up processes, oversailing and undersailing licences, highway-related Section 106 obligations, and coordination with public realm and design proposals. The successful Highways & Transport Consultant will be appointed to undertake professional services across RIBA Stages 0-7, as set out in the Scope of Services included within the Form of Appointment. The provider must be a taxi operator (not an IT provider), and must evidence provision of all of this service coverage, including all vehicles, without sub-contracting to anyone else. The work for HM10 - Highways and footway reactive maintenance will be at separate sites described in the Task Orders, located anywhere within the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton. Anticipated works type to be undertaken under the proposed contract: • Footway maintenance activities, including isolated repairs. Footway materials may include bituminous, p.c. flags, Southport tiles, blockwork, p.c kerbs and edgings. Adjustment of utilities covers and other ironworks may also be included. • Carriageway maintenance activities, including isolated repairs, patching and reinstatement of road markings. • Maintenance of Road Restraint systems • Trial Pits within the highway boundary • Out of Hours Call Out: After 1600 hours (Monday to Friday) and for the full 24-hour period on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays the Authority operates a night security service. The Contactor shall provide out of hours call out during any Christmas Shutdown period. Any work required by the service, under this Contract, shall be issued verbally to the Contractors ‘call out team(s)’ who are required to attend site within 1 hour of the call being made. • Assistance with Winter Gritting/Snow Clearance Operations: During periods of extreme weather, the Contractor may be instructed to provide sufficient operatives, vehicles and plant (as appropriate) to assist with daytime winter gritting/snow clearance operations on the highway network across the Borough • Conduct regular, scheduled inspections and servicing of 3no pumps and associated systems, including confined space entry, ensuring all equipment is operating efficiently and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards • Utility searches as and when required. Utility searches are carried out on a call-off basis. The Service Manager may instruct utility searches for specific locations or Task Orders. The Contractor does not assume any minimum volume of utility searches and no standing charge applies. The cleansing of the highway and land drainage system will be carried out by others but it may be necessary for the successful contractor/contractors to work with these others or provide their own equipment to support their operations. The work is generally for isolated repair/ replacement of highway drains and road gullies and/or for cleansing, bottoming and scything of lengths of selected ditches. • Footway Reconstruction Schemes. Footway materials may include bituminous, p.c. flags, Southport tiles, blockwork, p.c kerbs and edgings. Adjustment of utilities covers and other ironworks may also be included. • Carriageway Surfacing Schemes including full reconstruction, re-surfacing, planning and adjustment of ironworks and reinstatement of road markings. • CCTV surveys of drainage and sewers • Site testing, including but not limited to coring, skid resistance, surface texture, deflection/structural testing, density and compaction testing, drainage/permeability checks, retro reflectivity testing, adhesion (pull out testing) testing and other surface or material tests. The Council has not undertaken preliminary market engagement in accordance with Sections 16 and 17 of the Procurement Act 2023, having assessed that it was not required for the nature and scope of this procurement. The Contract will be tendered using the open procedure under the Procurement Act 2023. It is proposed to procure a 8-year contract, consisting of an initial 5-year period followed by a maximum of 3 x 1-year extensions which will be offered following a satisfactory performance review (in line with agreed KPI’s), The Council is open to considering innovative methods of delivery including partnerships between suppliers. The refurbishment of the public lavatories at The Boathouse Cafe. The primary objective is to change the access to the public lavatories from an external doorway (into the building) to an internal doorway located within the cafe area. The project involves the refurbishment of the public lavatories at The Boathouse Café. The proposed refurbishment work includes reconfiguration of the facility and creating access between the WC and adjoining Café to enable controlled access and use. Works will entail strictly stripping out the existing lavatories and installing a new layout to accommodate the change of access. The works also comprise the strip-out, alteration, and installation of electrical services associated with the refurbishment of public toilet facilities, including: • Removal of redundant distribution board and services • Installation of a new Schneider Acti9 Isobar 18-way SP&N Type A distribution board (DB:B) • Provision of new final circuits for o Lighting o Small power o Water heaters o Trace heating o Extract ventilation o Alarms o Other associated equipment, • Reinstatement of existing retained circuits. • Installation of new containment systems within the roof void. • Replacement of lighting and emergency lighting systems. • Modifications to fire alarm and accessible WC alarm systems. Transport for London (TFL), and London Underground Limited (LUL) plan to carry out fire detection and suppression replacement projects on escalator machine chambers and balustrades, to Aspirating Smoke Detection Systems and upgrading the suppression system to conventional sprinkler systems. It is proposed that an Aspirating Smoke Detection (ASD) system replaces the current LHDS. This will reduce the false alarms from the system, both from faults and from damage caused during maintenance. The works will be required at escalators 1 - 11 within Green Park station. This is a design and build requirement. TfL requires a contract to commence in July 2026. for a duration of circa 8 months. The Contractor is to develop the design and construct the works in accordance with the Works Information. The site is the fire protection system replacement on Escalators 1 - 11 at Green Park station. The project must be completed by 31st March 2027. Southend-on-Sea City Council is looking to appoint a suitable Supplier to supply, install and maintain intelligent transport systems and associated equipment including traffic signals, Variable Message Signs, RGB Signs, School Warning Signs, Car Park Guidance Signs, Car Park Count controllers and Vehicle Speed Activated Signs. All equipment is within the City of Southend and the Council will provide the Supplier with access to an asset management system where all faults and issues will be logged. The Supplier will be required to interrogate the Council's system on a daily basis to pick up faults, attend to rectify faults and then update the Council's system to confirm that the fault has been rectified. The Supplier will also be required to undertake annual inspections and internal cleaning of equipment. The Supplier will also be required to supply and install new equipment. This will vary throughout the life of the contract due to the level of funding available and/or external grant money becoming available. This procurement is to deliver the Operational Property visual and detailed examination programme throughout Central Route and West Coast Mainline South Route for the remainder of Control Period 7, in accordance with the requirements of NR/L2/CIV/171 and NR/L3/CIV/006. The requirements for Operational Property assets are to mitigate the risk of functional failure of a Buildings asset which may result in health, safety, environmental or operational incidents.
