This procurement process is being advertised and run by First Greater Western limited on its own behalf and on behalf of the successor operator of the rail passenger transport services in respect of Great Western Railway (GWR). That successor operator will be a public sector company, is expected to be a wholly owned subsidiary of DfT OLR Holdings Limited and will be ultimately owned by the Secretary of State for Transport. The date for transfer of the current operations to the successor operator is not yet confirmed. Where the transfer is completed before contract award under this procurement process, the successor operator may elect (but will not be obliged) to carry on with this procurement process in place of GWR, by taking on the role of contracting entity from the date of completion of the transfer (with this notice and all other procurement documents to be interpreted accordingly). Where the transfer is not yet completed by the time of contract award, contractual rights may be included in the contractual arrangements to enable transfer to the successor operator. Description of work We are looking to commission a service provider to design and deliver individually customised sales training to a number of university teams that are in the process of building a cybersecurity proof of concept (PoC) product, good or service. The service provider should, through direct engagement with each University team, develop a customer persona for their product, good or service. It is anticipated that the introductory session and main sales training workshop will be delivered in-person & Innovate UK Business Connect will arrange and provide suitable venues in London. Content should be adaptable for online delivery if in-person delivery is not possible. It is expected that 14 University teams will be taking part in the PoC phase of CyberASAP including this Sales Training Programme. Where appropriate we would also expect the service provider to provide ad-hoc mentoring for the teams around start-ups, development of MVPs and investment planning. 2.1 Design Design and development of course materials. Should include presentation slide material in electronic and printed form (bound in A4 or A5 format) for distribution to all delegates at the planned in-person sessions. 2.2 Delivery • Individual team meetings: 60-90 minute online meetings with each team involving staff engagement to better understand their product, good or service so that a customer persona can be developed by the service provider. • Sales training workshop: One day whole cohort sales training workshop on 4th November 2026 and one day sales practice workshop on 5th November 2026. The customer personas for each project will be used in the sales practice workshop in a series of role-play meetings with each project team in front of the whole CyberASAP cohort. 2.3 Feedback & Evaluation Provide feedback directly to individual projects on their performance in the sales practice workshop including suggestions for improvements. Provide consolidated feedback to Innovate UK Business Connect containing all individual project reports and a summary of outcomes from the training. This should also include recommendations on how the process could be enhanced in future years and direct feedback from the teams. Activity Timings & Output The delivery is set to commence on 10th September 2026 and final report to be completed by 15th December 2026, more details below. We expect the winning service provider to deliver the work described to the timeframes outlined below. The provision of high-quality social media and digital skills training that can be adapted to a range of different local government audiences, including – communications teams, officers working in non-communications roles, councillors (at a senior and backbench level). The training should be tailored to people with varied skills and experience – from beginners to people looking to use their existing knowledge to operate more strategically. It should be based on a thorough understanding of modern communications trends and best practice across a range of different local government issues. The Local Government Association is a politically led, cross-party membership organisation that works on behalf of councils to ensure local government has a strong, credible voice. We aim to influence and set the political agenda on the issues that matter to councils, so they are able to deliver local solutions to national problems. We represent more than 370 authorities across England and Wales on a wide array of topic, including adult social care, public health, child protection, bin collections, parking, devolution and finance. Our lead politicians speak in the national media on a daily basis – protecting and promoting the interests of local government. The LGA also provides communications support and advice to its member authorities. As part of this offer, we want to provide councils with access to high quality media training for their leaders and senior councillors. We are seeking to engage supplier to deliver media training sessions for LGA lead members, and also for councillors within individual local authorities as part of the communications support work with LGA members. Media training sessions should ensure councillors are able to speak confidently and effectively in both broadcast and print media on behalf of the LGA and/or their local authority. This would include providing tailored training to councillors on a one-to-one basis, in groups, or as refresher training for those who may need further support or guidance. A number of our councillors will already have varied levels of experience speaking to the media and may simply need to hone particular skills or simply build their confidence in front of a camera. Individual needs should be assessed and addressed prior to and during the training sessions to ensure each participant gets the most out of the session and leaves feeling able to speak confidently and effectively on behalf of the LGA and/or their local authority. It’s also important that when participants have finished the training, they are clear about the purpose of media interviews and able to embed key messages or narratives into their delivery. Councillors representing the LGA will also need to understand that they are speaking in that capacity, and be able to circumnavigate their personal views, or those of their local council or political party. Panel Convenor Training - Following the success of the Panel Process Adviser pilot in EPSRC in 2024/5, we are looking for a specialist training partner to provide state of the art training that strengthens our Panel Convenors’ knowledge, confidence, and ability to intervene when needed to ensure fair and objective decision making when convening funding panels. This support will help create a lower pressure panel environment where convenors have the cognitive space and autonomy to act effectively. Scope of Requirement Overview: • This procurement seeks to appoint a supplier to design and deliver training for EPSRC panel convenors, who are EPSRC staff responsible for convening and running peer review panels. NEAS is seeking to procure a Virtual Reality (VR) training and exercising platform to support the delivery of high-quality, immersive training in the application of Ten Second Triage during major incidents, mass casualty events, and complex emergency responses. The Trust requires a scalable and realistic solution capable of supporting frontline operational staff, clinical personnel, tactical commanders, resilience personnel, and students in the assessment, categorisation, and management of casualties during the earliest stages of a major incident response. SWC requires a suitable vehicle platform to support future conversion into a mobile training and demonstration unit. Scope and Background The Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) is seeking a delivery partner or consortium to support the design and / or implementation of a regional careers attraction and STEM engagement programme designed to strengthen the future talent pipeline for the Engineering Construction Industry (ECI). The programme aims to increase awareness and understanding of engineering construction careers among young people, educators, and local communities while supporting industry workforce requirements across key industrial regions. The ECITB intends to appoint delivery partner(s) through a competitive tender process to design, coordinate, and deliver regional STEM engagement programmes. Successful providers will be responsible for engaging schools, employers, educators, and local stakeholders to deliver curriculum-aligned activities, facilitate employer involvement, provide teacher development opportunities, and establish effective regional partnerships that maximise programme reach and impact. This opportunity is to appoint a partner to deliver our pilot programme within the Scottish Central Belt for S2 pupils. Submissions can be made by a single supplier or multiple as a consortium.
