The University of Central Lancashire is inviting engagement from suppliers to assist with exploring options for updating its on-premise Unit 4 ERP system and migrating to an externally hosted SAAS platform. The purpose of this exercise is to gain an understanding of the potential costs and benefits of such a project to inform a future proposal. Any such proposal would be subject to the University's decision processes, therefore this exercise implies no commercial commitment and is not a formal tender. Participation in this exercise or otherwise will not prejudice any future procurement. The requirement will be a high-level assessment of the current system to advise on options for migration to SAAS, likely timescales and estimated costs. At this stage the University is only considering options for a Unit4 system and wishes to engage solely with suppliers of Unit4 third party hosted solutions. Suppliers offering consultancy on its own need not respond.

In support of our MSc Mountain Medicine programme in the School of Medicine we require expert teaching in both mountaineering and the safe delivery of clinical care in mountain environments. This programme combines medical and mountaineering training in a highly practical fashion, with much of the course content being delivered in mountainous terrain both in the UK and abroad. We bring in medical expertise from a range of clinicians from across the UK. Alongside this we are using qualified mountain guides who come in to ensure both safety (for university staff and students) and deliver training from their specialist mountaineering expertise. We do not hold expertise in either of these elements in-house. The guides are engaged on a day-by-day basis. Guides are required for approximately 30 guide days per year. We are also in need of engaging a "Lead Guide" who will provide advice and input to the planning and organisation of the programme. This lead guide will also need to be engaged from time to time on a day-by-day basis "just as a guide". The lead guide is required for approximately 100 hours per year. Please note that all figures are estimates provided for guidance only and are not guaranteed, requirements may increase or decrease. Essential requirements are; • UIAGM / IFMGA guiding qualification • Right to work in the UK • Right to work in the European Alps • Ability to work single days and residential blocks in all mountain regions within the UK and in the European Alps If you are interested in a further discussion about this please email using the contact details provided and we will arrange a pre-market engagement event.

Peer-to-peer engagement between current students, staff and prospective students, with current student voice surfaced authentically, thus representing our University and who we are, proves to be a critical tool for building brand awareness, nurturing and conversion of prospects to enrolled students. The External Relations Service within the University is looking to find the right peer-to-peer platform, using our very own current students, that will enable us to engage with prospective students in the most efficient and cost-effective way. This should be achieved right from the start of the student recruitment funnel via maximum possible exposure to help us increase initial brand awareness through to the final stages of recruitment and enrolment. We want the software platform to help us achieve the following: 1) Increase our University brand awareness, acting as a lead generation tool by pushing our student ambassador profiles in front of prospective students when they peruse HE websites, and in particular UCAS (University and Colleges Admissions Service) as well as other major educational portals. 2) Enable us to connect with prospects through peer-to-peer conversations (staff, students) and peer content in a managed way that will assist relevant staff in the service to appropriately monitor and manage the student ambassadors in terms of time spent and quality, enabling the administrators to access conversations and intervene where there is inappropriate content 3) Surface user generated content, and through insights from engagement levels the system to provide content suggestions to student ambassadors and staff for further development 4) Fill prospects' queries through readily available content found on our website (like chatbot functionality) up to the point where the prospect is then matched and triaged to the right ambassador (staff or student) to continue a meaningful further conversation with the prospect. This should provide further efficiency in how ambassadors' time is spent and managed. 5) Surface our student and/or staff profiles as well as content across our website flexibly and in a customised way to drive traffic to conversations with prospective students If this is something that you are able to meet then please send a summary proposal / capability document to nismail4@uclan.ac.uk by the specified closing date
