The council has a statutory duty to provide advocacy provision to the residents of South Gloucestershire. Section 67 of the Care Act 2014 (“the Act”) imposes a duty on local authorities to arrange for an independent advocate to be available to represent and support certain people for the purpose of facilitating those peoples’ involvement in the services provided by local authorities.
The contract term is an initial 3 years with 2 optional extension periods of 12 months, taking the total contract term of 5 years.
Woodlands site at Tytherington - Provision of infrastructure works for self build housing scheme

Specialist services are Community Based Support, Day Services, Mentoring Services and Supported Living Services. Specialist services predominantly supports people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health issues, sensory impairments, physical impairments, acquired brain injury and behaviours that challenge. The Council requires providers to support individuals in and outside of South Gloucestershire to progress towards identified outcomes from Care Act assessments.
The Provider will deliver the service with the concept of wellbeing at its core, in line with the provisions of Sections 1 and 2 of the Care Act 2014. The Provider will provide high quality, reliable, consistent support that enables individuals to increase choice and control over their daily lives, to achieve and maintain maximum possible independence and a sense of belonging. The Provider shall promote the maximum level of independent living skills achievable by the individuals accessing the provision and supporting individuals to access other services. Individuals will have opportunities to a service which enables them to benefit from community, leisure, education, training, and employment opportunities. This means engaging with the individual, undertaking activities that have a purpose towards progression of outcomes.
The initial duration of the contract is for 48 months, with the potential to extend for a further 24 months, making a total possible contract term of 72 months. Any contract extension or renewal will be dependent upon continued need for the service, satisfactory performance and availability of funding. It is anticipated that this contract would start on 1st September 2023. Potential suppliers will need to complete all necessary documents and submit them before the round deadline date for the Council to review. It is part of a larger National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) project bid for the enhancement of the whole park, with the overarching aim that a wider range of people will be involved with the heritage. This contract will be for the playground and will include the design, supply and installation of new equipment, surfacing, landscaping, gates and new and relocation of existing railings, along with ancillary items, including macadam access paths through the play area, seats etc.

We should hear if we have been successful towards the end of 2023.
We are inviting suppliers to a two-stage restricted tender process and five successful tenderers of this stage will be asked to submit a full design tender in early 2024 if we are successful in our Stage 2 (delivery stage) NLHF bid, with construction following later that year. If we are unsuccessful in our bid the project will go no further.

Residential Children's Homes - Strategic Partnership
South Gloucestershire Council are giving you the fantastic opportunity to become a Strategic Partner with the council in a collaborative agreement to open three Residential Children's homes across the authority area.

Waste Collection Services - South Gloucestershire Council
The Council's current contract for waste collection and disposal services expires in July 2025 and the new Agreement will be for an initial period of eight (8) years with an option to extend up to a further period of eight (8) years, in two four (4) year increments.
The Council requires collection waste services for up to c.100,000 tonnes per annum of municipal and other wastes within the Council’s administrative area, including refuse (household), recycling, food, and garden (green) waste.
