The Installation of a Roof Mounted Solar PV System, Replacement of Lighting, Heating and Hot Water Boiler Plant at Wick Primary School, South Gloucestershire.

Description

The project requirement over the summer 2023 period is: i. Replacement of the existing gas fired boiler plant with new packaged external air source heat pumps, new primary and secondary distribution pumps, new plant room pipework and associated systems. ii. New controls system for the new heating. iii. Replacement of heat emitters throughout the building. iv. Replacement of fluorescent lighting to LED v. Construction of external plant enclosure (concrete base and fence) for the new air source heat pump units. vi. Installation of a roof mounted solar PV system. at Wick Primary School, Church Road, Wick, BS30 5PD. The Council is seeking a Gas SafeTM/ NICEIC Approved Electrical Contractor to act as Principal Contractor with the capability and experience to manage specialist sub-contractors to undertake and execute the contract works. The Council will not consent to the whole of the works to be sub-contracted. It is essential that this project is successfully executed during the summer recess, so the Contractor will need to demonstrate they have recently completed at least one similar project successfully (similar scope of work, similar value and similar timescale) and they have the competency and sufficient resources to meet these deadlines. The Contractor shall appoint a full-time site-based representative (i.e. site/contract manager) throughout the works on site. It is expected the contractor will have to work longer weekdays and weekends during the school holiday period (24th July to 31st August 2023) to complete the work within the contract programme requirements and include these costs in their tender.
