This is notification of an upcoming opportunity, in which Slough Borough Council intends to undertake a procurement exercise aimed at setting up a Framework to procure the services of contractors to undertake emergency maintenance, site investigations, minor & major highways and transport works
It is anticipated that framework will comprise of 5 lots as follows ( which are subject to change before tender is issue)
1) Lot 1 - Minor Works Construction Project - value range £500,000.00 per contract
2) Lot 2 - Minor Works Construction Projects - value ranges £500,000.00 to £2,000,000.00 per contract
3) Lot 3 - Major Construction Projects - value ranges £2,000,000.00 to £10,000,000.00 per contract
4) Lot 4 - Re-active maintenance works up to the value of £100,000.00 per contract

5) Lot 5 - Carriageway Resurfacing Works up to the value of £1,000,000.00 per contract
Each lot will list a number of contractors whose services are to be procured to deliver these works via mini competitions or Direct Awards, and call off contracts are to be awarded using Engineering Construction Contracts (ECC) NEC4 Option A or B
Contract duration will be for a period of 3 years, with option to extend it for a further 2 year, on an annual basis of 1 + 1

All age Substance Misuse Service Drug And Alcohol Service and Rough Sleepers and those at Risk of Rough Sleeping community outreach service
LOT 1. A 5 year contract with the option to increase for 2 plus 2 years so 9 years in total. This is for a New, All Age Integrated Substance misuse, treatment and recovery service. The aims of the service are to deliver harm reduction, engagement to structured treatment and recovery of substance us for Rough Sleepers and those at Risk of Rough Sleeping.

Contract Hire with Full Risk Maintenance of Specialist Plant Vehicles
Slough Borough Council operates a statutory waste recycling centre at our Chalvey depot and requires a total of four types of specialist plant machinery to undertake the sorting and loading of waste.
One item of plant is required to be based at our Slough Crematorium depot (grounds dept) and operates primarily from 6 am – 5pm, 6 days per week, however, this machine will be required to support on a 24 hour call out basis as it used for emergency call outs as and when required.
Both locations are key in delivering statutory and emergency requirements, and the plant machinery are vital tools in enabling this to be achieved.
The contract will be for an initial three year duration with an option to extend for a further 2 years (3+1+1).
Provision of a Borough-wide Food Waste Collection and Disposal Service
Slough Borough Council requires a suitable licensed provider to collect and dispose of food waste from all domestic properties within the borough (approx 55,000 homes).
The Authority will provide four 11 tonne waste collection vehicles to be used for this contract.
The Authority is currently operating a pilot food waste collection service for 5,000 homes and this will extend to another 5,000 homes over the coming months. On the commencement of the contract, the provider will adopt the pilot collection with a phased delivery service rolled out to 55,000 homes commencing from 1 April 2026.
The contract will commence in January 2026, for five years with an option to extend for a further two years.
