Following the delivery of SMMC to a base build specification, a technical fit out is now needed to meet the needs of the operator. This would include internal partitions, upgrades to the heating and ventilation system to accommodate increased extraction and make-up air, installation of necessary AV infrastructure and progressive privacy systems for example, as well as laboratory fit out. This work is currently in design stage and we would look to dovetail the fit out works on Practical Completion of the base build.
Children and Young People's 0-19 Public Health Services
The 0-19 Public Health Services are crucial in ensuring children and families get a good start in life. The services consist of the health visiting service and school nursing service.
The health visiting service delivers the 5 public health mandated contacts that are to be completed with families before a child reaches age 2 and a half.
The school nursing service is a crucial health presence in our schools that ensures there are whole school approaches to public health topics such as healthy eating, smoking cessation and sexual health.
Both services also play key role in safeguarding processes. Both by identifying safeguarding issues and supporting the wider system with health input into cases.
The contract duration will be on a two year basis (plus 3 extension years).
