Public Health Wales are looking for a highly qualified and experienced contractor to deliver comprehensive maintenance and repair services for Public Health Wales Infection Services. This includes the inspection, maintenance, repair and calibration of all pipettes used within PHW Infection Services. Public Health Wales Trust recognises the importance of the Welsh Language to the communities it serves. TTPH is a broadly nationally representative panel of around 2,500 people aged 16+ years who are resident in Wales. We deliver national bilingual (Welsh and English) surveys with the panel, achieving a minimum survey sample of 1,000 people, who are broadly representative of the population of Wales. Quota sampling has been applied to geography (health board), age, sex, deprivation quintile (Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation) and ethnicity. PHW is undertaking this preliminary engagement exercise to better understand the cost associated with continuing to deliver the current TTPH model of three surveys a year from April 2028 – March 2021. This exercise is intended to understand the cost of delivery of TTPH from April 2028 for three years if we continued to deliver three surveys a year based on the details within the PME document (available on request). The cost for hosting a website by the MRC is not required, this can be solely conducted on PHW website. The contact details, along with participation method and language preference, of the existing panel members would be securely shared to the awarded supplier at the outset of the work programme. This exercise is being conducted solely for information-gathering purposes and does not constitute a formal procurement process.

Public Health Wales is undertaking digital and data transformation across its Research, Data and Digital Directorate. This includes delivery of the National Data Asset Platform (NDAP), a component of the Welsh Government-funded National Data Resource programme, and the Data, Analysis, Registers and Cloud programme. It also includes sustaining cloud engineering capability for strategic digital programmes, including the Digital Health Protection Programme. Public Health Wales is undertaking preliminary market engagement to understand supplier capability, delivery models, timescales and commercial approaches for specialist Data Engineering and Cloud Engineering support. The engagement will help shape a potential future procurement and does not constitute a call for competition or a commitment to purchase.

The primary objective is to identify the most cost-effective, flexible and sustainable licensing model that enables continued access to the required SPSS functionality whilst delivering value for money. This exercise is intended to help PHW better understand: • Available IBM SPSS licensing models. • Opportunities to improve value for money. • NHS and public sector pricing arrangements. • The relative merits of perpetual and subscription licensing. • The benefits and drawbacks of concurrent-user and named-user licensing. • Enterprise and organisational licensing options. • Opportunities to introduce greater flexibility where user numbers fluctuate throughout the year. • Available discounts and commercial arrangements.
