It is proposed that a comprehensive phased strategy combining both temporary and permanent camera locations to deliver immediate safety enhancements while minimising unnecessary expenditure. The approach encompasses the deployment of a selection of temporary and permanent camera units, the installation of two new CCTV columns, and the installation of two external communications cabinets. Permanent equipment will be positioned in areas where site layout is confirmed, while temporary placements are designated for high risk zones (e.g., hoardings) pending finalisation of AfA/ticket office plans and be relocated as required. Furthermore, it is anticipated that the Marlowe cameras will remain operational until the definitive station configuration is established and the overall CCTV design is refined. This ensures that the coverage and functionality currently provided by the Marlowe cameras will be maintained through the strategic placement of new camera units, as temporary positions at the hoardings do not offer adequate surveillance to fully replace the Marlowe system. This option uses completed ES5 designs, IDC/IDR signoff, AFC drawings and a full bill of materials.
