Newcastle City Council is looking to appoint a contractor to deliver the mechanised road winter maintenance gritting service on behalf of the Council. This relates to the management and operational requirements which are to be deployed to deliver the service across the network within the boundary of Newcastle Upon Tyne. This also includes the provision of the operational vehicles required to deliver this service. The contract will cover all aspects of the service from weather forecasting to application of treatments as well as the management of rock salt materials.
