NHS Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB), hereafter the Relevant Authority, is seeking to commission Wheelchair and Postural Services for North Yorkshire and York through a Competitive Process under The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The preferred Provider will be required to demonstrate how they will deliver a clinically safe, high quality, dignified, cost effective service that puts the individual at the centre of their own care which supports and maintains their on-going health and wellbeing needs. The service will be required to: • Provide a timely, comprehensive holistic assessment of an individual's posture and mobility needs, taking into account medical condition, functional ability, social situation and environment; • Provide posture, pressure relief and where appropriate, predictable changes in Wheelchair User needs; • Provide a service that meets the Wheelchair Users wider health and wellbeing needs; • Enhance and maintain the Wheelchairs Users quality of life; • Support personalisation, independence and offer a Personal Wheelchair Budget where eligible and appropriate; • Support an overall reduction in hospital admissions and/or length of stay; and • Demonstrate Wheelchair Users (and carers) are central to the decision making in their wheelchair assessment and provision - evidenced through patient centred outcome measures.

North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is working for and on behalf of NHS Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (the Relevant Authority), who are conducting a Request for Information (RFI) exercise in order to gain a better understanding of the capacity and appetite of the market to deliver area-based Urgent Dental Treatment services in Humber and North Yorkshire. It should be noted that this PIN/RFI invites individuals and organisations to express an interest in this RFI exercise only, and it is NOT part of any pre-qualification or selection process. This PIN/RFI is intended as an awareness, communication, and information gathering exercise. A Request for Information is no indication of a commitment to participate in any subsequent procurement process nor does it infer any preferential or special status on those individuals and organisations who express an interest. Potential providers are to note that the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (as amended) may apply to a future procurement including the New Fair Deal non-statutory policy setting out how pensions issues are to be dealt with when staff are compulsorily transferred from the public sector to independent providers delivering public services.
