To appoint an external consultant or supplier that has in-depth knowledge of the role and work of the Aggregate Working Parties and can mobilise resources quickly to undertake the secretariat function effectively.
Aggregate Working Parties (AWPs) are technical advisory groups of mineral planning authorities and other relevant organisations covering specific geographical areas who work together to produce fit-for-purpose and comprehensive data on aggregate demand and supply in their area; and provide advice to individual mineral planning authorities and to the National Aggregate Co-ordinating Group.
The Authority intends to award a Contract/s for an initial three year term, with the option to extend for a further 12 months, subject to departmental requirements, available budget, satisfactory performance and approval. This Procurement will result in separate Contract awards for each Lot of which there are up to 9 lots. A Potential Supplier may be awarded one or more Lots (up to the maximum permitted), and upon Contract execution they will become the Supplier for those Lot(s).
The total maximum budget available for the initial three-year period is £436,000 ex VAT across all nine lots. The total contract value, including any optional extensions, may be up to £581,333 ex VAT, subject to funding availability, supplier performance and internal governance approval. Inclusive of VAT total contract value including any optional extensions is c. £ 697,600 .
