British Gurkas Nepal White Fleet Vehicle Replacement
British Gurkha’s Nepal (BGN) current vehicle fleet requires replacing.
The north of Nepal is dominated by the Himalayan Mountain Range; this region is sparsely populated and requires reliable vehicles with off road capabilities. The middle band of the country is hilly and more densely populated, including the two largest cites, Kathmandu and Pokhara where two of BGN’s camps are situated. The southern strip of the country, bordering India, is comparatively flat but again, densely populated. Both regions also require transport capable of traversing in off road conditions, particularly in the monsoon season. Roads throughout Nepal often lack tarmac, including in population centres. The road quality varies drastically from tarmac to potholed dirt tracks. There is a requirement for 4 x 4 vehicles to ensure BGN can meet its outputs across all geographic regions.
The new fleet should comprise of the following:
1. 8 x Passenger conveying 4x4.
2. 10 x Closed cab goods conveying 4x4.
3. 2 x Open dual cab goods conveying 4x4.
4. 3 x Ambulatory 4x4.
5. 1 x Combination Van.
6. 2 x Delivery Van.

This procurement seeks a 24-month support, maintenance, and training contract for the OBSIDIAN Electronic Surveillance (ES) system, a critical Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS) exploitation capability used by the Field Army. The contract will run from February 2027 to February 2029.
The contractor will provide full in-service support, including routine maintenance, break/fix repairs, and software and firmware updates. The contract also includes annual trainer recertification, user training, secure connectivity support for deployed and home base operations, OEM liaison, engineering assurance, and quarterly performance reporting.
Suppliers must ensure full operational availability of OBSIDIAN systems, compliance with MOD safety and environmental standards, and delivery of all training and connectivity requirements.
715933488 - In-Barracks Equipment Support (IBES) outputs for the Support Helicopter Force (SHF) and Commando Helicopter Force (CHF).
There is an enduring requirement for contracted labour and personnel support across aviation engineering, logistics information systems, airworthiness records, supply and enabling functions at RAF Odiham, RAF Benson and RNAS Yeovilton. The Authority are seeking a Contractor who shall provide suitably qualified and experienced personnel (SQEP) to supplement Service personnel and deliver the defined outputs where military capacity is constrained. This is an output-based personnel support requirement; it does not prescribe fixed posts or transfer the Authority’s responsibility for directing and assuring Defence outputs.
The requirement is informed by persistent Service workforce pressure across engineering, logistics and enabling functions. Workforce gap data may be used by the Authority to inform planning and prioritisation; however, such data is contextual only and shall not be interpreted as a fixed staffing requirement, guaranteed workload or commitment to any specific workforce construct.
The requirement supports the Authority’s need to generate, sustain and recover SUPPORT HELICOPTER FORCE (SHF) and COMMANDO HELICOPTER FORCE (CHF) capability in support of Defence-directed tasks, readiness commitments, force generation activity, contingency response and wider operational outputs. Delivery shall contribute to aircraft availability, maintenance throughput, logistics resilience, airworthiness assurance and safe operating outputs across the SHF and CHF enterprises.
The Contractor shall deliver support that enables the Authority to prioritise scarce engineering, logistics, supply and enabling resources against variable operational demand. Support shall remain responsive to flying programme requirements, maintenance activity, emergent tasking, readiness cycles, future capability transition and changes in workload across output groups, functions, locations and time.
The Authority does not guarantee a fixed volume of tasking. Activity assumptions, historic data and annexed output schedules are indicative and shall not be interpreted as guaranteed workload, fixed workforce demand or a prescriptive staffing schedule.
The Authority has a requirement for the provision of N3 Dauphin emergency simulator training services in support of aircrew training and operational preparedness. The requirement is expected to include the delivery of simulator-based emergency training courses, associated instructor support and related training services.
The proposed contract will be a services contract with an initial term of approximately 2 years and 2 months, with options to extend for up to a further 2 years through two separate 12-month option periods. The estimated total value of the contract, including all option periods, is approximately £1.5 million EX VAT
The procurement is expected to be conducted under the Procurement Act 2023 via a competitive tendering process.
This request for Information / Preliminary Market Engagement document is for two modular Close Quarter Combat (CQC) training systems for installation within existing training infrastructure.
715886482 Land Training Assurance Capability (LTAC)
The Land Training Advisory Capability (LTAC) (formerly Land Training Test & Reference Centre (LTT&RC)) will provide independent testing, analysis and assurance to support confidence in the Army Collective Training Service (ACTS). It will ensure that the Land Warfare Centre (LWC) remains an intelligent customer, able to maintain technical coherence and keep services focused on training outcomes, underpinned by secure information and data. Drawing upon reference architecture, technical standards and a test-bed for evaluating integration compatibility, the LTAC will provide independent support to the acceptance of digital products and provide assurance support that solutions meet the Defence Modelling and Simulation Coherence and Secure by Design principles. The LTAC will maintain the ACTS architecture baseline and act as the architecture custodian, ensuring coherence, traceability and alignment with approved Defence standards. The Authority currently intends to procure this requirement through a competition conducted under the Crown Commercial Service Technology Services 4 (TS4) Framework.
Currently, the contractor is tasked to visit any of the locations listed below, as directed by the Defence Recycling & Disposals Team (DRDT). From there, equipment is evaluated and sold by the contractor, usually from site using the most cost-effective method. Under current arrangements, equipment is sold through this contract, and proceeds are split between the contractor and the MOD on a gainshare basis. The division of proceeds from the sale is decided at the outset and forms part of the tender evaluation process.
All taskings are made through DRDT’s Disposition Management System for which all contractors receive training in its use.
Characteristics of Demand
There is also a significant amount of waste to be removed and disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner, and it must be in accordance with local environmental regulations. The disposal of waste from the Falkland Islands also makes up a large portion of this contract with all waste matter having to be removed from the islands.
Where equipment or waste products are disposed of, an estimate of cost is presented by the contractor and on completion an invoice is placed through and paid by the MOD using the Contract Procurement & Finance (CP&F) system. Contractors are registered through Exostar to enable usage of CP&F.
There is a requirement for the occasional, disposal of waste oil under this contract from various overseas locations. Such disposal requirements can be at short notice due to the unpredictable nature of overseas operations.
Preferred Future Approach
The above describes the current operating arrangement and should not be interpreted as the Authority’s preferred future solution. Respondents are encouraged to identify alternative approaches where these could improve competition, compliance, resilience, commercial performance or value for money.
