Framework Agreement for Creative Agencies Services
LJMU has an internal design studio, however there is a requirement to use external designers at busy times throughout the year.
Working within LJMU brand guidelines we wish to establish a Framework of Creative Agencies/External Designers (approx. three agencies in total).
LJMU will require the Creative Agencies/ External Designers to:
• Provide design solutions for a variety of printed marketing communication material - leaflets, brochures, display stands etc.
• Provide graphics for use in digital advertising, including re-sizing existing artwork
• Revise existing marketing material
• create new graphics to support a specific campaign/project
This is a below threshold procurement exercise
Benchtop Energy Dispersive X-Ray Fluorescence (EDXRF) analyser.
The LJMU geography, climate and environmental sciences student cohorts are growing, and as a result we require higher capacity equipment to meet student's needs. Our current geochemical analysis set up includes X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) analyser for non-destructive sample analysis, and is utilised by students for projects, and by researchers/academics.
Currently, student using this in practical classes must run one sample at a time, with creates a backlog which completing practical tasks, however, with an increased analysis capacity, practical classes will run smoothly, and results will be available faster. For research, a similar backlog exists, and staff issues around light element sensitivity (such as Magnesium). As we wish to remain competitive in terms of student experience, and research, it is crucial we remain up to date with analytical equipment.

Requirement for a Placement Reflection and Signposting Solution (Healthcare)
LJMU recognises the need to support students when they are on healthcare placements. These students are working in various placement settings, and it is recognised that obtaining dynamic feedback needs to reflect the variety and diversity of these settings. Early identification and intervention are to key to both retention and the ability to offer targeted and appropriate support to students whilst on placement. An excellent student experience is key to LJMU success, and the University strives to improve this through targeted and proactive support. LJMU have identified a need to provide a solution that can be rolled out and supports timely and supported intervention triggered by student need. The solution needs to highlight patterns of behaviours at multiple levels to ensure actions are initiated and recorded.
