This package encompasses key ground‑related enabling activities required to prepare the site for construction. It includes Species relocation works, remediation works, site clearance & flood defence works. Activities may also cover site haul roads to support bulk earth works. These works establish correct ground levels, and create safe access routes for subsequent phases. By completing these early earthworks, the project de‑risks later civil and structural activities and enables a smooth transition into the main construction programme.

It includes early-stage civil works such as site establishment, construction utilities, and supporting infrastructure—such as drainage.Together, these early works provide the foundational physical platform needed to de‑risk, mobilise, and accelerate the main works programme.
