TENDER FOR COLLECTION AND TREATMENT OF BIOWASTE (GREENWASTE AND BROWN BIN WASTE) REF: 2526 TNDR EP 009
Fermanagh and Omagh District Council (The Council) invite tenders from suitably experienced and licensed contractors to collect, process and recycle biowaste. The contract materials will be collected by the successful Bidder(s) at the Council’s fully licensed transfer stations located at: Omagh Operations Centre, Gortrush Transfer Station, Gortrush Industrial Estate, Great Northern Road, Omagh. BT78 5EJ Licence Number: WML 25/04 and Fermanagh Operations Centre, Drummee Transfer Station, 30 Drummee Road, Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh. BT74 7LE Licence number 34/24. The tender will be divided into four individual pricing lots as listed below. Lot 1 - Collection, treatment and processing of co-mingled brown bin material from Omagh Operations Centre. Lot 2 – Collection, treatment and processing of co-mingled brown bin material from Fermanagh Operations Centre. Lot 3 – Collection, treatment and processing of biodegradable garden waste (green waste) from Omagh Operations Centre. Lot 4 – Collection, treatment and processing of biodegradable garden waste (green waste) from Fermanagh Operations Centre. Each Lot Contract is to be for a period of 2 years from award of the Lot Contract. The two categories of bio-waste which comprise the contract material relating to this tender are listed below: EWC 20 01 08, 20 02 01 - Co-mingled brown bin material. This material is generated through the kerbside collection of brown bins consisting of garden waste co-mingled with food waste and household fire ash. All households are provided with a five litre caddy and free compostable bags are provided to the public. EWC 20 02 01 – biodegradable garden waste (green waste) collected through the household recycling centres. This material does not include food waste or compostable bags and will largely consist of garden and lawn cuttings, hedge trimmings and coarse branches, stumps foliage and all other equivalent plant materials. The treatment of the waste is to ensure that the Council complies with the legislative requirement of the EU Waste Framework Directive and the EU Landfill Directive, in respect of household recycling targets and reduction in municipal waste to landfill.

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council invites Tenders from suitably qualified Contractors for the design, supply, delivery and installation of a modular unit and associated Civil Engineering site works at ARC Healthy Living, Irvinestown, Co. Fermanagh. The Contract is being co-ordinated in conjunction with Keys and Monaghan Architects who represent ARC Healthy Living. The estimated Contract Period is 14 weeks duration for off site design and prefabrication and 4 weeks construction on site. This is a funded project through the PEACEPLUS Local Action Plan Theme 1 – Local Community Regeneration and Transformation 1.1 ‘Enhancement to Existing Community Spaces/Halls’ Programme.

NEWTOWNBUTLER PEACE PLUS DEVELOPMENT PQQ -Ref TNDR CP 023H
Fermanagh and Omagh District Council invite applications for the appointment of a suitably qualified Main Contractor to undertake construction of a new building and associated infrastructure works at the former Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) site at 48 High Street, Newtownbutler, Co. Fermanagh, BT92 8JD. The project objective is to establish a new iconic, transformative, inclusive development at the former PSNI site at Newtownbutler. With investment in co-designed, sustainable infrastructure, the project will facilitate meaningful and purposeful contact between different communities and will be a lasting legacy for the Newtownbutler people. The purpose of these works is to redevelop the existing brown field site. The proposed work includes, but is not limited to the following; • demolition of site structures; • boundary wall treatments and works; • removal of existing slabs and concrete structures; • erection of a new building (circa 650sq.m) with 4no. retail units, studio and community gymnasium with associated plant, welfare, lift, mechanical and electrical installations; • fitout of the internal structure including the gymnasium; • BREEAM rated Excellent building; • implementation of sustainable features during construction and in completion; • contractor to undertake the role of Principal Contractor; • associated infrastructure works and site (hard/soft) landscaping; • compliance with statutory regulations; • associated utility connections, sewerage, mains power and water. A Peace Plus funding application has been successful which outlines the infrastructure needed to deliver this project. This is a funded project through the the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB) which is a North South Body with the statutory remit for managing EU funding programmes within Northern Ireland and the border counties of Ireland.
