Avanti West Coast (AWC) are the operator of intercity rail services on the West Coast Main Line. A joint venture between First Group and Trenitalia. AWC operate 16 stations along the West Coast Main Line as well as a number of offices at other Network Rail managed stations along with some additional offices. The scope of this contract is designed to ensure that AWC environments are not only clean and hygienic, but also well-maintained, safe, and compliant with all relevant legislation and industry best practices in line with Department for Transport (DfT) Service Quality Regime (SQR) requirements. AWC's focus is on partnering with a supplier who can deliver consistent performance, demonstrate innovation in service delivery, and embed sustainable and socially responsible practices. The AWC Class 80x Heavy Maintenance will fall approximately due in Mar 2028. The overhaul covers the requirement for level 5 activities and associated tasks such as: - Cover - Horn replacement, bogies, pantograph overhaul and ETCS signal repeater overhaul, GU minor overhaul (805 specific). The requirement for this procurement specifically covers the removal, refit and logistics if applicable, with material for the activities being supplied under the TSSSA already in place. The procurement is not to undertake any overhaul activities of components.
