Term Service Contract for Flood Risk Asset Maintenance
The maintenance of Flood Risk Assets located within the geographical boundaries of the East Riding of Yorkshire. The council currently has approximately 175 Debris Screens and 87 Penstocks and other Mechanical components (including Sluice Gates, Flap values and Tidal Gates, situated at Flood Alleviation Schemes and watercourses throughout the county of the East Riding of Yorkshire, which are required to be maintained to ensure that their operational capability meets the required standard to handle potential flooding events. These works include: • Undertaking of routine clearing of weeds and other debris from Debris Screens located on watercourses and flood alleviation schemes throughout the East Riding Council’s area. • Regular maintenance of Penstocks, Sluice Gate, Flap valves and Tidal Gates. • Provision of 6 hour response emergency call out for works including emergency screen clearing, removal of obstructions, urgent repairs, or to ‘Make Safe’ • Undertaking maintenance works / repairs on Flood Risk Asset structures, including headwalls, spillways, fencing, chambers, manhole covers etc Successful Tenderers may be required to carry out work/services at any location within the East Riding of Yorkshire.
Term Service Contract for Drain Clearing and Associated Works
This contract covers drain and gully clearing, jetting, toilet unblocking and associated surveys in various council owned housing properties located within the geographical boundaries of the East Riding of Yorkshire. The East Riding of Yorkshire Council owns and controls approximately 12,000 properties. The contract scope of work includes consequential and reactive maintenance works and the provision of a 24/7 call out service for emergency response to attend at any applicable location in the East Riding of Yorkshire within the prescribed times.

The East Riding VCFSE Safeguarding Support Service provides specialist safeguarding support, advice, training and strategic representation to voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise organisations across the East Riding of Yorkshire. The service plays a key role in building safeguarding capacity within the sector, supporting organisations to develop safe practices, meet their safeguarding responsibilities and respond effectively to emerging risks affecting children, young people and adults at risk. Acting as a trusted link between the VCFSE sector, local safeguarding partnerships and statutory agencies, the service promotes collaboration, shares learning and best practice, amplifies community voices and helps ensure that safeguarding remains at the heart of service delivery, contributing to safer organisations and safer communities across the East Riding
