Conwy County Borough Council is seeking suitably qualified supplier(s) for various contracts to provide transport for 14-19 collaborative courses known as LINC. The routes will be operated in term time only within the academic year 2026/27 on the specified routes and days as stated in the attached document “Draft LINC Transport Contract Schedule 2026/27.” Please be advised that these may be revised at the start of the terms as courses and numbers of pupils for the courses are changed / confirmed. There are 10 different return routes contracts available travelling between schools and colleges mostly within the Conwy County boundaries. Operators can tender for any or all routes as a lotting strategy is in place. Please refer to the tender documents for full details of the contract requirements.

Pont Segrwyd is in poor condition in certain areas. The south parapet and south spandrel walls are failing and require restoration. There is a crack between the northwest sidewall and the bridge abutment. Other areas on the bridge and adjacent wall are affected by vegetation ingress and loss of pointing. The primary works are: - Take down section of existing south parapet, spandrel wall and northwest sidewall and set aside masonry and stone slabs for reuse. - Vegetation clearance from existing structure. - Rebuild spandrel wall and parapet using existing masonry and stone from local quarry - Repair and repoint remaining sections of bridge parapets, retaining walls and spandrel walls. - Construction of southwest river training wall, repurposing existing stone parapet slabs.

An exciting opportunity is available for organisations to join an engagement event planned by Conwy County Borough Council in collaboration with BCUHB. The event is planned to be held online on the 11th June at 1pm to provide an insight into the future social prescribing service and offer an opportunity for discussion and feedback. We aim to take a further step forward to improve health and well being across Conwy. Intentions are to develop social prescribing in accordance with the newly established Standards and Values for Social Prescribing which further builds on the National Framework for Social Prescribing issued in December 2023. Our ambition is to make social prescribing high-quality, credible, and equitable in preventing ill health and improving wellbeing, achieved through collaboration, sustainability and integration into the wider health and care system.
