Cirencester Town Council invites proposals for the design and construction of a new playground for children under 7 years of age, located at Kingshill, Cirencester.
The budget is £48,000 (excluding VAT).
The playground must deliver inclusive, accessible, sustainable, and stimulating play opportunities. Designs should reflect the community's aspirations for improved wellbeing and encourage physical activity and social interaction.
As part of a wider Town strategy, Kingshill is earmarked for further development and the enhancement of amenity and play spaces, as and when funding becomes available.
Cirencester Town Council is seeking early engagement with potential suppliers for its 2027 Christmas Lighting Scheme. This pre-market consultation is intended to inform the future procurement process and help the Council understand financial implications, market capacity, innovation, and installation lead times.
The Council is not, at this stage, seeking formal quotations or proposals but welcomes interest and feedback from suppliers who may wish to bid when the formal tender is launched in mid-2026 including site visits to plan the scheme (refer to Engagement Section).
Background
Cirencester has a long-standing tradition of festive lighting throughout its town centre. The 2027 scheme is anticipated to:
* Cover multiple key streets and public spaces
* Include design, supply, installation, removal, storage and maintenance
* Reflect sustainability goals (e.g. LED use, low-energy systems)
* Run for 5 years (subject to performance)
* Work within the current budget of £28,000 excluding VAT, however quotes over this may be considered.
Objectives of This Notice
• Inform the market of our future intentions
• Invite suppliers to express interest
• Allow suppliers to view the existing scheme during the 2025 festive season
• Offer opportunities for early dialogue, site visits, and feedback
Cirencester Town Council is seeking proposals from dedicated, experienced, and enthusiastic operators to run a food and coffee kiosk (size 12ft x 10ft) at St Michael's Park for the busy summer season, April to September 2026 (with some flexibility available).
We are looking for an operator who can deliver high-quality refreshments and play an active role in the life of the park. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to its vibrancy by organising events and activities that engage the local community and enhance the visitor experience.
