The BBC is looking to contract with a Travel Management Company (TMC) to support the booking, management, and optimisation of business travel. The contract will include air, rail, hotel and ancillary travel services (e.g. meeting room bookings) for domestic and international travel. This procurement is for the provision of a Travel Management Company for the benefit of the BBC Group as a whole. This includes both BBC Public Service (funded by the licence fee) and commercial subsidiaries in the UK, as well as International Bureaux where appropriate. In addition, pricing will also be requested during the tender process for BBC Studios overseas locations. The published contract value therefore represents the maximum anticipated spend across the BBC Group as a whole for the entire 5 year contract duration. The successful Supplier will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive travel solution that ensures value for money, policy compliance, duty of care, and a high standard of customer service. Services must be accessible via multiple channels, including an online booking tool, dedicated account management, and 24/7 traveller support. Key service requirements include: - Booking and management of travel reservations in line with the BBC’s travel policy - Provision of an intuitive, compliant online booking and approval system - Access to competitive fares and rates across all travel categories - Traveller support services, including emergency assistance and disruption management - Duty of care provision, including traveller tracking and risk management - Management information and reporting, including spend, carbon emissions, and compliance data - Implementation, transition, and ongoing account management services - Support for sustainability objectives, including carbon reporting - Proactive support for travel reduction and demand management initiatives aligned to BBC cost-saving objectives The estimated volume of travel will vary over the contract term and will include multiple user groups and locations. The successful Supplier must demonstrate the capacity and capability to scale services in line with demand. Services are to be delivered across the BBC’s organisation and must comply with all applicable legislation, including data protection, health and safety, and modern slavery requirements. The scope may extend across the wider BBC Group, including commercial subsidiaries and overseas entities. The estimated contract value represents the maximum anticipated value across the BBC Group over the term of the contract and does not constitute a guarantee of spend, with the BBC currently intending that actual expenditure will be lower. The estimated contract value also includes spend by commercial subsidiaries and other BBC Group entities, meaning that not all expenditure under the contract will be funded by the licence fee. Actual usage and spend may vary across entities. The Supplier must be capable of delivering a consistent and compliant service across a diverse, multi-entity organisation, including UK and international operations. It should be noted that VAT does not apply to Air or Rail bookings. Due to the confidential nature of this procurement, all interested suppliers must enter into a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to accessing the tender documents. The NDA will be provided upon expression of interest and must be completed and returned before documentation is shared.

The BBC is seeking to appoint a provider to operate its Defined Contribution DC pension arrangement "LifePlan", currently delivered via a Group Personal Pension GPP structure and a Master Trust for non-UK based employees e.g. Channel Islands. The BBC is acting on its own behalf as the Public Service and on behalf of BBC Studioworks Limited, BBC Global News Limited, BBC Studios Distribution Limited, BBC Studios Productions Limited and BBC Children in Need and its other BBC subsidiaries from time to time as notified by BBC pursuant to the Contract. The BBC is seeking participation from suitably experienced pension providers and organisations capable of delivering a high-quality, resilient and future-focused workplace DC pension arrangement for a large and complex employer environment. The appointed pension plan provider will be expected to operate and support LifePlan via either a Master Trust or a combination of a GPP and a Master Trust, including selecting and managing the range of funds available within the arrangement and providing digital functionality, including a portal through which eligible BBC employees can access, choose and manage their pension savings. The requirement is expected to include, where relevant: - Group Personal Pension and Master Trust provision - investment proposition, fund range and governance - member communications, engagement and digital tools - implementation and transition support - data and payroll integration - employer reporting and management information - governance support and related pension services. The BBC is looking for a provider with the capability, scale, resilience and long-term commitment to support a competitive workplace pension arrangement that delivers value for members, supports good member outcomes, and can evolve with market, regulatory and workforce expectations over the life of the contract. The contract values presented are based on a number of assumptions. Full details of the assumptions and methodology used to derive the contract value are set out in the tender documentation. As such, depending on the application of these assumptions in practice, the actual value of the contract may be higher or lower than the value stated. The contract dates provided are indicative only and may be subject to change to accommodate transition, implementation and other operational requirements. This procurement will be conducted using the Competitive Flexible Procedure. The BBC is seeking information on mature privacy and AI governance platforms that can support the operational delivery of privacy and responsible AI governance across BBC Group. The BBC undertakes a range of governance activities including Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Transfer Risk Assessments (TRAs/TIAs), AI Risk Assessments, risk acceptance, Records of Processing Activities (RoPA), case management and governance reporting. These activities are currently supported through a combination of manual processes and existing tools. The BBC is exploring whether a modern governance platform could enhance the efficiency, consistency and maturity of these activities.

The BBC is looking to understand the market capability for a single, scalable Election Results System (ERS) capable of supporting multiple concurrent election events across the UK. The solution must support editorial, broadcast, digital, analytical and archive workflows from pre-election preparation through to live results coverage and post-election reporting. The ERS should provide a technical solution and common live election results platform to encompass data collection, validation, analysis, distribution, and archiving. It must support access by BBC staff, approved third parties, and remote election stringers, while maintaining security, data integrity and operational resilience.

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: BBC World Service expects to undertake a procurement exercise for the supply of FM broadcast transmission equipment for its terrestrial Global Radio Network. During any future exercise, the BBC expects to assess equipment manufacturers capability to satisfy its requirements before selecting a preferred supplier or suppliers. The BBC operates re-broadcast FM relays across a range of territories and operating environments. Many sites are located in remote or hard to access locations and may be exposed to demanding environmental and electrical conditions, including significant temperature fluctuations, high humidity, condensation, dust ingress, corrosive atmospheres, and inconsistent power quality. Local technical support resources may be limited, while the procurement and delivery of equipment and spare parts can present logistical challenges and incur significant costs. Consequently, transmitters designed for enhanced resilience in such environments including the use of conformal coating for improved protection against moisture, dust, and corrosion would be highly advantageous. The BBC is therefore seeking information from manufacturers and suppliers able to provide robust, maintainable and supportable VHF FM transmitter systems that can be installed, operated, fault found and maintained with minimal specialist intervention, while supporting simplified module replacement and long-term operational resilience.
