The North Wales Corporate Joint Committee, known as Ambition North Wales, leading on behalf of the six North Wales local authorities, are exploring opportunities to secure a delivery partner to establish and operate a regional collective purchasing scheme for domestic low-carbon technologies.
Project HARP (Home Adoption of Renewables Programme) aims to help homeowners and other eligible residents, as well as SMEs and local community centres, purchase high-quality installations at cheaper competitive prices through a supported group-purchasing model. The scheme will support delivery of Local Area Energy Plans and wider regional and national decarbonisation objectives.
The anticipated technology scope comprises:
• Solar photovoltaic systems
• Battery energy storage systems
• Electric vehicle charging infrastructure
• Associated equipment, warranties, customer support and aftercare
The North Wales area covers the local authority areas of Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd, Isle of Anglesey and Wrexham.
