The information provided by the RLs enables levy payers to select varieties that are optimal for their cropping system and meet the requirements of their local market. Data for the Recommended List is generated from more than 450 trials and tests conducted annually. AHDB is seeking to procure statistical advice and support to facilitate the selection of crop varieties into Cereals and Oilseeds Recommended Lists, to ensure the design of the trials and tests and the analysis of the results is statistically sound. The supplier must also supply statistical advice relating the AHDB Cereals and Oilseeds fungicide performance project. This project uses near identical design and analysis to the Recommended Lists but is on a far smaller scale than the Recommended Lists. We are looking for one provider only. Subcontracting and consortia bids will not be accepted. The services shall comprise advice on design of variety trials, analysis of data (within trial and over-years) and horizon scanning to ensure that the statistical methodologies employed remain 'state of the art'. This is not a contract for data management and the supplier will not conduct the analysis, except where investigative work is conducted to develop new techniques for use with the RL data. Routine analyses are conducted by AHDB using GenStat, linked to an SQL database hosted and supported by AHDB, with input and output via Microsoft Excel. It is therefore vital that the supplier has a thorough understanding of GenStat and can provide new updated GenStat code as required to work with the database for routine analyses. AHDB is undertaking environmental baselining work on a group of farms expected to be in the range 120 - 200 farms across GB where it aims to establish a net carbon balance, taking account of GHG emissions and carbon stocks and sequestration, and capture a range of metrics of relevance to evaluating natural capital and monitoring the environmental impact of behaviour change. For this tender, AHDB are seeking a partner to assess above and below ground biomass (AGB/BGB) associated with woody biomass on the farms in this project and from that estimate the associated above and below ground carbon stocks. Most farms will be mixed farms with two or more enterprise types. Uncropped land such as woodland will also be included. AHDB intends to procure LIDAR scanning services to inform this assessment of 120-200 farms. It is expected that the successful tenderer will use these LIDAR datasets, accompanying aerial imagery and published allometric models for hedgerows, trees and woodland to derive above ground carbon stocks on farm along with other outputs of relevance to farmers and the baselining work. AHDB intend to procure a Contract over the next five years to a successful Supplier for the provision of Vote Election Management. The successful supplier will be required to administer and deliver an annual independent voting process at the end of October/early November each year - 2024 to 2028 inclusive, as well as ensuring value for money for levy payers is provided. To provide flexibility, this work has been divided into three regional blocks, each provisionally comprising between 40 and 70 farms. The LIDAR dataset should cover all the farms identified as participating in the project. Details for two LIDAR resolutions is requested, 16 and 40 ppm, both with three or more returns. LIDAR acquisition must be carried out under leaf off conditions. It will be delivered formatted as a digital terrain model, a digital surface model, canopy height model, fully classified LAS file format and a RGB ortho mosaic in geotiff format. The above service is part of the project's overall requirement to measure, report and verify (MRV) the changes in carbon stocks within and across farms and provide farmers with information that can help them deliver better environmental services, whilst optimizing production efficiency.
