2023-647 Provision of retailer in-store observational 'Country of Origin' audit

Awarded notice - AHDB intend to procure a Contract to a successful Supplier for the provision of in-store observational audit work for pork (PorkWatch).The successful supplier will be required to deliver audits for Pork, conducted regularly throughout the calendar year across a sample of 150 stores stratified by region and store size, as well as ensuring value for money for levy payers is provided. Core requirements are: • To conduct an observational audit (at time critical periods) of all fresh pork (fresh pre packed), bacon, gammon, sausages and ham products 6 times a year. The sample should cover the 10 largest multiple retailers • Data to be collected in all chilled cabinets within the retailer, including gondola ends and secondary fixtures. • Historical results which AHDB currently hold must be incorporated into the results so that changes over time can be tracked. Results must be provided separated by individual retailer as well as at total market level. • Results must be provided in both in tabular format and chart format using a suitable software package. (e.g. Excel/ PowerPoint/Other) Tabular results to reach AHDB within 10 days of the audit taking place. • Results must show the percentage of facings that : o Display a British country of origin o Are Branded v own label (including the proportion of each that is British) Closing date is NOON 25th March 2024.
