Funding bids are invited from our NHS and VCFSE Provider Collaborative Partners for service developments and innovative projects which align with the priorities set out in the draft Birmingham and Solihull ICS 3 Year Strategic Plan for Mental Health Inpatient Services (including Rehabilitation and care for people with Learning Disabilities and Autism). Bids may cover any one or more of the elements of the pathway described below. However, we are particularly interested in bids related to community-based support leading to admission avoidance. Elements of the pathway for which we are seeking bids are as follows: • Admission Avoidance • Reducing length of stay for people who are admitted as inpatients. • Facilitating quicker discharge from hospital • Preventing readmission Each bid may be for up to a maximum value of £200,000 for one year of operation of the project. It may be possible to extend the funding for some projects for a further year. However, any extension, would be subject to the availability of ongoing funding and evaluation of the impact against expectations set out in the bid, in the first year. The bids will need to demonstrate how they will lead to reduced inpatient bed use.
