The Parish Council will assess compliant quotations using the weighted scoring system. The assessment is intended to identify the proposal offering the best overall value for the community, rather than simply the lowest initial price.
Laneshaw Bridge Parish Council invites suitably experienced playground design and installation companies to submit competitive quotations for the design, supply and installation of a replacement village playground. Laneshaw Bridge is a small village with a population of fewer than 1,000 people. The playground is an important community facility, and the Council wishes to create an attractive, inclusive, accessible, safe, durable and engaging play space that provides meaningful play opportunities for children of different ages and abilities. The Council is seeking a complete design-and-installation proposal rather than a prescribed equipment package. Contractors are encouraged to demonstrate their creativity, technical expertise and understanding of inclusive play, while remaining within the stated budget and site constraints. The Council does not prescribe the materials to be used for the equipment. Proposals will be assessed on their design quality, play value, accessibility, expected lifespan, durability, maintenance requirements and overall value for money.
