Lancashire Constabulary’s Fleet Department require Accident/Collision and Vehicle Mechanical Repair Service to repair and maintain vehicles. The Authority is seeking to procure the services of between 5 and 8 suppliers to provide a broad range of repairs to Police Vehicles, to support our Vehicle Maintenance Strategies over a 2 year period, with the option to extend for a further 2 years. The existing Lancashire Constabulary Vehicle Repairs Service Framework Agreement is due to expire 30th September 2027. The Constabulary will be replacing this with a new framework, estimated to start on 1st October 2027. The estimated spend for the replacement framework will be in the region of £4 million. Suppliers will need to be located within a 60-mile radius (via Google Maps) to our Headquarters site (PR4 5SB). This will enable site visits for vehicle inspections and face to face contract management to take place at a location based within a distance that would not add unnecessary costs or delay to the service. This criterion is also essential to meet carbon reduction and net zero targets, in addition to our obligation to reduce contract costs. Suppliers outside of the specified radius are permitted to set up/utilise appropriate subcontracting arrangements within the radius. This can include the location and use of suitable sub-contractors who may be able to carry out this service on behalf of the supplier. All vehicle repairs shall be completed strictly in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer's latest repair methods, technical bulletins, approved repair procedures and specifications current at the time of repair. Under no circumstances shall repair methods be used that deviate from manufacturer-approved processes unless written approval is obtained from the Lancashire Constabulary. Qualifications that technicians undertaking repairs must possess include: • ATA Accreditation (or equivalent). • Manufacturer-specific training where available. • Evidence of ongoing CPD and technical updates. Lancashire Constabulary will be conducting Pre-Market Engagement. Please keep an eye out for the UK2 Notice, and information included on our external websites.
