The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) intends to create a pathway to link problems identified by large organisations with solutions provided by innovative cyber small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) known as the Cyber Accelerator Programme. The Authority requires a supplier to deliver the Cyber Accelerator Programme: Design Partnerships 2027-28. The main objective of the programme is to create a credible pathway from agreed challenges facing the public sector to commercial adoption of cyber innovation by public sector buyers. This will improve the delivery of procurement in the British cyber ecosystem, linking the problems identified by large organisations with the solutions provided by SMEs. The programme will do this through design partnerships, being structured collaborations between public-sector organisations with identified challenges and innovative cyber SMEs capable of developing and testing solutions to those challenges. The programme is designed as a single pathway from challenge identification through to potential commercial adoption. The Supplier(s) will recruit and support Challengers and Programme Innovators, facilitate design partnerships, provide programme governance and compliance support, deliver route-to-adoption activity, organise programme events, produce programme reports and outputs, and create a pattern library of repeatable approaches to support future adoption of cyber innovation by large organisations. The desired outcome is to improve UK cyber resilience and economic growth by helping innovative cyber SMEs address real public-sector challenges while enabling public-sector buyers to engage more confidently with innovative solutions through fair, transparent and Procurement Act 2023-compliant processes.
