Dunstable Central Sustainable Spaces Project is divided into four distinct lots to engage small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from the Central Bedfordshire region, ensuring local businesses have the opportunity to participate and contribute. For Lot 3, we invite qualified contractors to provide and facilitate the following installations and refurbishments: 1) Revitalisation of internal communal areas through a combination of new flooring 2) Safe and contained removal of asbestos containing floor tiles 3) Painting works to be conducted on the top floor of all 4 blocks The project focuses on four blocks and their internal communal areas that, once refurbished, will significantly improve the living conditions for residents of the 54 properties involved. By engaging local contractors, we aim to implement innovative and appealing solutions that contribute to a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable environment for our community. It is important to note that this initiative is funded by the rent contributions of housing tenants, not from council tax revenues. The Council will provide as much support and information as it can to help guide you through the quotation process. Questions asked together with the response, will be made available to all tenderers, to ensure a fair and consistent approach to all. If there is anything you are not sure about or need clarification on, please use the Correspondence facility within the In-tend electronic tendering system. Last date for receiving questions on the In-Tend system: Monday 6th July 2026 by 5:00pm Completed Quotations and attachments should be submitted electronically by the due date via our In-tend electronic tendering system.
