This Notice of Intention to Award is published in accordance with Regulation 11(9) (Competitive Process) of the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council is seeking to award a contract for the provision of the Living Well Public Health Nursing Service across the Bradford District and Craven area. The service delivers the Healthy Child Programme for children, young people and families from pregnancy through to 19 years of age, and up to 25 years for care leavers and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. The service includes health visiting, school nursing and associated public health nursing services. The procurement is being undertaken through the Provider Selection Regime Competitive Process. The service will deliver universal, targeted and specialist interventions designed to improve health and wellbeing outcomes, reduce health inequalities, promote school readiness, support children and young people to achieve their potential, and provide early identification and intervention where additional needs are identified. The contract supports the strategic priorities of the Council and the local health and care system through prevention, early intervention and partnership working, with a focus on improving population health outcomes and reducing inequalities across the district. The provider will be expected to work collaboratively across the system to deliver a responsive, integrated and outcomes-focused public health nursing service that meets the needs of Bradford District's diverse population.
