The Council seeks to establish contracts for the delivery of community-based support services for ethnic minority communities. The procurement is divided into four Lots, with the detailed scope, service requirements, estimated values and delivery expectations set out within the Lot descriptions and procurement documents. Services are intended to improve accessibility, inclusion and outcomes for service users across the borough.
This commission aims to develop a deeper understanding of the health and wellbeing needs of asylum seekers and refugees in Wirral enabling targeted action that reduces health inequalities and improve outcomes for these communities. The Service will provide an integrated, community-based and culturally responsive model to reduce health inequalities and improve outcomes for asylum seekers and refugees across Wirral. Through trusted community settings and effective referral pathways, it will improve access to health, wellbeing and wider support services, providing coordinated, person-centered assistance. The Service will engage asylum seeker and refugee communities across Wirral, offering targeted support to address the wider determinants of health, promote wellbeing, and increase access to services, support and opportunities.
The Service will provide a community-based outreach and engagement programme that aims to improve engagement with ethnic minority communities, increase awareness of available services and opportunities, and support action to reduce health inequalities across Wirral. The Service will engage communities through trusted settings, local networks and community-based approaches, helping to improve access to information, support and opportunities that promote health and wellbeing. The Service will place a strong emphasis on prevention, community voice, community insight and the early identification of unmet need. The overall aim of the Service is to actively engage Wirral's ethnically diverse communities through sustained and consistent outreach activity.
The Service will provide an integrated, community-based and culturally responsive model for ethnic minority communities across Wirral. Through prevention, early intervention and health promotion activities, it will increase access to health and wellbeing information, support and opportunities. The overall aim of the Service is to enable ethnic minority communities across Wirral to thrive by strengthening community capacity, promoting inclusion and supporting equitable health and wellbeing outcomes.
The Service will provide a programme of cultural awareness, learning and workforce development activity to strengthen cultural competence, inclusion and equitable service delivery across organisations working with ethnic minority communities in Wirral. The overall aim of the Service is to build workforce capability and confidence to deliver accessible, inclusive and culturally responsive services, helping to reduce barriers to access, challenge stigma and improve experiences for ethnic minority communities.
